Burdens
Away from the din, I run
Far beyond the souls that plead
From broken hearts that bleed
What to do, how to help...how to mend
The devastation I see?
Searching and clamoring for meaning
These tortured ones will grasp
For what they are without
They run and chase about
But no answers have I, today
I suppose that I could say,
"God will save you from your plight"
Then, cling to Him, they might
But still it seems cliche'...
And so easy for me to say
When I, too, oft lose my way
