The greedy will never stop their race to obtain other riches such as those stolen by force from those humble folks who prospered with the sweat of their brows, but for a stroke of bad luck their honor and dignity were taken away from them, making them servants like beasts locked up in a cage while the stingy and cruel master denied them prosperity and harmony with deceit. Once they were happy and free like a flock of crows screeching under a sky bluer than the sea.

People say to think outside of the box to be imaginative, but my mind wasn’t small enough for a box in the first place. Or maybe the box was a circle, a cage…

The girl is like a bird, people want to imprison her in a cage, but she wants to fly in the open sky.

at the foot of the ladder, a monkey fell~ six stories of rungs and she rings his bell~ he sat picking daisies off his fallen spell~ hands cupping petals of air being his quell~ poor little monkey's a shaken as hell~ his eyes run circles around the pink pastel~ as shocked onlookers stand visual at his well~ in his cage, his cousin's saddened at their shell~at the foot of the ladder, a zoo's a cell~

In college I was told by my professor that my paper was not fit to line his birdcage. Really. It was one of the best things I could hear because I made it a goal to really understand writing well.

At my age, eating porridge in the corner of my cottage is not a gauge to put me in rage. It may seem that am in the cage because of my wage; I shall manage for i know with God and hard work, i shall be celebrated on the Stage.
