This isn't an epitaph
An epitaph would be like:
They buried her by the train,
still waiting for her father.
I hope I have something worthy of your honest opinion someday.

I like the attention payed to the message over meter of your poem. There is a humbleness that pervades throughout your poem. All in all a worthwhile read for the reader.
