Contest Description
How many know that leftovers and reruns can be good? Great! We are on the same page. This is basically a rerun of a contest I ran a year ago. I love the book of Proverbs with all of its great wisdom, and I hope that this contest will encourage others to discover its riches.
1 original, poem on the theme of .............a proverb(wise saying)found in the book of Proverbs in the Bible. Please pick out one verse(or part of one verse) from the book of Proverbs(there are 31 chapters, which gives you lots of verses to choose from)and write a monoku based on the verse that you choose.
Please date your poem and underneath the date, please copy, paste and bold the verse that was the inspiration for your monoku. Please use either the King James Version or English Standard Version of the Bible. For examples of what I'm looking for, please see Death Of A Fool, You Are My Life and Crown of Aging on my homepage. You can pick whatever title you like, but please put PM2 after your title so I don't accidentally find out your identity ahead of time. I like to judge as blindly as possible. As always, PLEASE, no names on your poems, unless you want to automatically be disqualified. If you have any questions, please feel free to soupmail me. A big thank you in advance to all who enter!

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts.
English Language
Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
