What to Submit?

Please write your poem, under the form of Verse

Left justify the poem

Write 5 quatrains

Quatrains 1,3, and 5 will be in hymn meter consisting of alternating lines of Iambic tetrameter and Iambic trimeter. Within those quatrains line 1&3 will rhyme with each other and lines 2&4 will rhyme with each other. 

Quatrains 2 and 4 will be written in free verse but please keep the lines of a length that is close to the other quatrains so there is a mostly uniform appearance.

Preparing Your Entry

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts. 

English Language

Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
