Contest Description
An Abecedarian (or Abecedarius) poem is a type of alphabet acrostic poem where each line or verse begins with a successive alphabet letter (a, b, c, d...and so forth)
here's the deal about this creative exercise:
~ abecederian for this contest must be written in 5 lines, with an 8 syllable count per line, unryhmed
~ choose ONE of the themes: 1. Coffee Break or 2. Time For Champagne or 3. Tea Time
~ the letters L, M,N,O, P, must be used in succesive order
~ the chosen theme is your poem's title
~ new, original poem is required

~ include contest title, sponsor's name, and date of poem
~ follow all rules of TPS and sponsor
~ use www.howmany syllables.com as your counter

judging will be based on unique imagery, clarity / depth of substance, and overall poetic appeal…have fun!
