Well done Tim for diving in the deep end! Have just followed your link and heard you reading. Like Timothy, I'm not sure what I expected, but your voice does go with the type of poetry that you write. Looking forward to more of the same:) ~ txs for the mention, but the merit is all yours! Regards // paul

Thanks very much Paul. You are to humble because you made this write so much better. Now I wonder what other soupers sound like.

Not sure what I expected, Tim. Your voice sounds really young though ... maybe higher pitched than I expected? Either way, this is a fun thing to do. There's used to be a radio station that played all sorts of random music: classical, jazz, big band ... and sometimes during the commercial breaks they actually had "live poetry reading" where someone reads aloud a poem they wrote, often paired with ambient music...

Wow that would have been a great station to listen to. I'm sure many enjoyed the poetry.

Oh lucky you!!! I have only seen Van Gogh's works through books & such, never in real life. That must've been such an overwhelming exhibit...

I do love going and looking at all the beautiful artwork and it was a thrill to see a special exhibt of Van Gogh's bedrooms and many many more of his spectacular works. Even some that are rarely seen from his days at the asylum

I sure can't help but smile as I listened to you reciting your beautiful sonnet, Tim!My captcha says "YUY" right now, but I think it should be "YAY!" and I said to myself--"Yes! He did it!" That was so cool of you to do so. I am really happy with the fact that you did it and it was a joy listening to you--I'd have to disagree with what you said about your voice, I like the tone & accent of your voice-- count me in with the others who want to listen to you reciting more poems :)

Oh shucks, that's so nice of you to say that my voice could serve as an inspiration. But yes, a convert to spoken poetry! Odd thing is, I'd only have guts to recite a poem if it's recorded. I don't think I'll ever do an open mike thing. Ever. Or hmm---- and yes again, would love to hear Andrea and Charma!!

Thanks for the inspiration from your beautiful voice. Was I nervous ? Hell yes, but I would do it again. I think Andrea and Charma need to be it to. I think it would be fun.

I was a little nervous Stephen. I just pictured everyone in their underwear but then I couldn't stop laughing at the picture in my head. So, I just took a deep breath and gave it a go. Thanks for listening.

Tim, I was actually able to get THIS link to take me right to your reading and hear it right away. VERY nice poem and nice voice. Your voice reminds me a wee bit of my favorite nephew's voice. are you a midwesterner?

I'd love to hear Andrea too! I loved hearing you on Drake's show, you have such a soothing and melodic voice, Charma! I'm sorry though, I don't know how to splice that portion, but hopefully Tim can figure it out... maybe you can also record it on your phone? You can send me the file and I'll post it on my 4shared acct and you can post it in a blog-- I'm basically kinda freeish until next week, but after that, I'm gonna be scarce here.

I could try and figure how to slice just that section out of his show or maybe record it off of there might be the easiest.

Dude, how cool is this? You don't sound anything like I had in mind. The poem was fantastic, especially having it read too me. "The Voice" nice touch. Plus Van Gogh and Dogwoods? What a combo platter this is. It's GRRRREAT! Make mine a double!
