Just a small town girl ... with an old soul and a young heart ...

I was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, grew up in Iola, Wisconsin and currently live in Big Falls, Wisconsin... In my spare time, I enjoy writing poetry and researching our family history in order to preserve it for and to share it with future generations.

My poems have been published in every edition of Poetry Soup's anthologies, as well as various others.

In 2019, my poem, 'The Hollow', was published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. It appeared in their school textbooks, audiobooks and online learning materials.

Dear Kelly, I really enjoyed reading the entries for this contests. I have a special interest in owls and look for them on nature trails. I've been collecting figurines of them, to add to a collection that was my Grandmother's. She loved owls, too, and so does my Mom! :)
