Just a small town girl ... with an old soul and a young heart ...

I was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, grew up in Iola, Wisconsin and currently live in Big Falls, Wisconsin... In my spare time, I enjoy writing poetry and researching our family history in order to preserve it for and to share it with future generations.

My poems have been published in every edition of Poetry Soup's anthologies, as well as various others.

In 2019, my poem, 'The Hollow', was published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. It appeared in their school textbooks, audiobooks and online learning materials.

Just A Question

If I wanted to add photos to a blog, how would I do that?

I was going to include photos for inspiration with the rules of my last contest, but I could not figure out how!

I was able to include photos on "My Biography" and in "My Photos", but not my contest!

I used to upload the picture I wanted to use to photobucket and then get the http link that was listed by the picture but since my browser was outdated I can't do that now. Maybe i will put it on a flash drive and try on my hubby's laptop which has Windows 8

I'm back! Had time to read #2 this time, and I have done it that way in the past, but for some reason the toolbar has been giving me issues lately, perhaps due to changes to the website?

I didn't know why Isaiah I just kept trying a different image until one worked - did you try the second way Anne? inserting the http...........

If images do not work, sometimes it is because they are too large. I just copy and paste from different sources until I find a good file size, or change the size using picture editing software.

she is right. This way does not work for me either. It only works for bios and avatar with me

I don't know why adding a photo to a blog has to be this difficult. Using images for an avatar or on our biography pages is easy!.... Have a nice weekend, Anne-Lise :)

Go to post a new blog or edit my blog, find the picture you want by googling example: SPRING under google IMAGES left click on the image and it will enlarge, right click on the enlarged image & pick COPY - go back to your BLOG PAGE & click paste. A lot of times that works sometimes it doesn't #2 when you have found the image right click on it go to the bottom of this list it gives click PROPERTIES then copy the http file - go to the blog - click in the little SCENE in row 3 next to the smiley face [above the box where you type] and paste the http thingie there- where it says image URL [make sure you don't have 2 http thingies]
