NEVER START WHAT YOU CAN'T FINISH

Yesterday morning I decided to give a squirrel peanut butter on toast. I had no idea he would enjoy it.I just offered it on the spur of the moment. Well he nibbled every morsel.

This morning Mr. squirrel appeared again. He boldly entered the patio door.

I forgot all about the treat I offered him yesterday.

SHOO! I said as I tried to chase him away.

Snarl...growl... he replied with his fur standing on end. Then he tried the attack mode.

Slipping past him I grabbed a slice of toast and threw it at him.

Nibble.. chomp.. burp.. and he walks away... satisfied. Fur all nice and smooth.

Not even so much as a thank you.

I make sure to keep my patio door shut now. I refuse to be manipulated by a squirrel.

So what's new?

You've got a good heart Meg. Some people would have been having squirrel for dinner. God Bless. Vince

Our beagle has lost 12 pounds chasing those rascally squirrels (she needed to lose weight). I swear they intentionally torment her. I think squirrels are a lot smarter than we give them credit for. Thanks for the laugh. Danielle

lol I'm not a big fan of bullies, and squirrels certainly are bullies! Sorry about him. Here, the mice and bears are more worrisome than the squirrels, as our dogs keep (chase, will chase til the ends of the earth) them away. :)

Our squirrels never seem to get their stomachs full. They are little beggers, and drive our golden lab nuts!! Enjoyable blog, Margaret! :) Carrie
