ME FRAZZLED? GET USED TO IT.

Well folks on my morning walks as usual. However, this morning was a bit different from my other mornings. There I was strolling along as happily as you please, enjoying the fresh air and admiring the beautiful wild flowers that grew along the way.My thoughts were on the beautiful views mother nature offers when out of the corner of my eye, I spied something truly colorful. As I looked down ,my blood ran cold because I was looking at a snake, aproximately 15 inches long. It was lying very still in my path with it's head reared for attack. After realizing that I was about to step on its tail, I did a most undignified hop, skip and a jump.( totally shocking my 62 year old frame) To my surprise the snake did not move.  My adrenaline pumped furiously as I stood looking at it for a while. I hurled a couple of sticks at it but it remained still. My next thought was that it was probably dead.  However, the next instant it reared up and slithered into the tall grass . My question is this "why did it not attack me? Why did it remain still until after I had passed? Hope someone can give me an answer.

I have taken a few days off from walking because I still get the shivers whenever I think of that creature.

Love to all always,

Meg.

Hi Meg, Thanks for the warm welcome to the soup. I so look forward to becoming part of this family. I loved your blog, I have been around snakes, (my husband has had a few through the years) and I can honestly say, he was trying to warm himself on the road, and yes you do have a guardian angel. I am currently contending with my husbands tarantula and scorpion, but hey they are ten times better than that ferret and they don't smell.God Bless -Alexandra

Meg, You wrote the book so you should know the answer. I have been trying to find out how to send a comment on your book and Joseph's also. I can't get it figured out. Sorry I have been trying. Great Book. God Bless, Cile

Well Meg, snakes are cold blooded and need time in the sun to warm up before starting their day, so if you came upon it very early in the morning that may be why he didn't move so fast. Glad you didn't step on it. I hate snakes Bless you my friend. Love, Vernette

I'm not familar with snakes of Hawaii. Are they venomous? Perhaps your aura wasn't threatening to it and it was only raising up to look around ... smile ... who knows ... sometimes its only seconds and inches that separate us from the other side. Glad you're okay!

Ha ha! Carol's comment made me laugh. But I can't help but think when something like that happens, it indeed has to do with the powers that be. Was it a poisonous snake? Either way, ew, snakes give me the creeps. You most definitely have a guardian angel - and I think you know that already. Glad you are ok. Love, Shar

Dear Meg, The snake did not fear you would hurt it. And he was too buzy laughing at you because he scared you to run away. Sounds good to me what do you think? Love, Carol
