Is there such a thing as getting Christmas spirit too early??

Well now I have started to shop and am looking for the perfect Christmas cards--- Writing all these Christmas poems is really putting me in the Christmas mood---So I got to wondering-when do you all get your Christmas spirit and how soon do you decorate for Xmas?When do you put up your tree? I usually wait till after Thanksgiving to start decorating but this year I might put my tree up early  cos my future mother- in- law has never seen my beautiful white,purple and silver tree . I'm always proud of how it looks when I'm done and she is anxious to see it . Think I'll put it up in a couple days--So how about you out there in Soup-land? How soon do you get things gussied up for Christmas ? Just wondered if I'm the only one in the Christmas spirit early this year----HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!

our country has the longest celebration of chritmas in the whole world.. even before all saints ' day, families start to cheer up and begin to anticipate the spirit of Christ's birth.. my christmas tree was put up nov.1 and 3/4 of my gifts, donations to the orphanage were finally wrapped today... we love this holy day, deb!.. the spirit of Christmas has no season, actually!:) huggs

I saw one house on our block all gussied up this week. IN a way, I think that is a good idea. but why not take it a step farther? Just leave the xmas lights on all year and not have to spend all that time taking them up and then down year after year? I often drag my feet on decorations and then I feel like there is no point in doing it at the last minute. So I think after Thanksgiving is a fine idea. I will be doing Xmas cards with newsletter and poems this coming week.

Probably so. The stores seem to be starting earlier and earlier. Sometimes i get into a "Bah humbug" but after awhile that changes. I just wish it would all start after Thanksgiving. Well any way have a great day and be careful Santa is watching!!
