Loved the poem Gail . How I envy you your faith , When I lost my parents , I began to lash out and blame everyone . When I lost my sister I'm afraid I lost my faith , The belief is returning now but it was a journey I had to take, When the hurt subsides , God is there to help us pick up the pieces.

Happy Sunday, Gail! Thanks for the poem... I especially liked how you used light... the sun, in the eyes and Spirit. We went to church today (we've been visiting family most Sundays, as of late) I was a bit worried. Due to spring break, they had cancelled kid's church... and Verity had to sit through the whole service. There were only two children at the service! Well, she helped carry the bible today and was tickled ... they gave her books and something to colour on... and she was happy. I thought she hadn't heard a thing... and then she leans over and whispers to me, "Mommy, what is victory?" Ah, after church, her question led to a nice long conversation about peace, compromise and love :)

Sure is powerful! The poem is too. Seems like you must have had a breathtaking experience with the power of God's love around the time you wrote this. I send you warm regards.

Gail hon in your contest directions you say this [You must have a total of 4 stanza no more than eight lines.] the usual rhyming stanza is 4 lines unless you wanted us to write couplets? so 4 stanza's of 4 lines would be 16 lines?] perhaps you mean no more than 8 stanza's?
