So we take for granted every day the things that we see, and the things that we hold in our hands..... Why? Because we see them every day, we hold them in our hands every day. There always there, no matter when we need them, no matter what’s going on in our lives we can always count on the "solids" in our lives. I think that’s sad, the taking for granted of anything is unfortunate, even the air we breathe may not be ours to breathe in the next second, the nest minute. The last breath that someone takes is always their last breath.
It’s like that old saying, you know the one, when you’ve lost something and finally find it.... what do you say "Its always in the last place you look" of course it is, once you found it .... Why keep looking. So everything that we find is always in the last place that we look, and the things that we hold in our hands are only there until "their last breath".
So in essence we as a race take for granted .......... everything, all the little things..... All the big things, all the experiences, All the tangible proof that we are alive we take for granted because we can and because it keeps us sane, so i say why? The next time you walk into your bathroom, your child’s room, or just you living room..... exalt at the things you have, the people that mean everything to you (because the people you know make you who you are in some small way) and understand that the word "Granted" means given, and it is, so cherish it, love it .......... and finally ... make it mean something, don’t let it go unnoticed.
