We are in the process of making some code changes to PoetrySoup that will help make the website more user-friendly with the newer mobile technologies. We hope to complete the updates Saturday. If you are experiencing problems with a page, do the following:

  1. Please clear your browser cache and then try again.
  2. In the problem persists, email us the URL of the page you are having are having trouble with. Include in the email your browser information as indicated on this page: https://www.poetrysoup.com/your_browser_info.aspx
  3. Please be patient and allow time for us to troubleshoot the issue. There are scores of different browsers out there and each has its own unique variables.

Thanks for your patience! Your patience in this upgrade will benefit everyone in the long run.

I keep getting kicked out on this phone ? I'm just going to let it expire and get a trak phone. I don't have time nor desire for the childish bullshit going on....

We’ve updated to a new HTML editor so that you can add color to text and smileys when creating blogs and contest info.

I had some issues,couldn 't comment but yes I clicked on internet explorer/settings/clear cache,and now all is ok.Tnks Team poetry soup : )

Still don't get any of this and admin has had plenty of time to address the issues. You should be making it easier for us to navigate the site, not more difficult. I don't know what a cache is either. If I "delete" my browser, am I deleting all internet files in my email? I'm out of here till someone tells me the site is working properly again -- and means it this time. Enough is enough. Weeks have gone by since I first reported my problems. We're not technical gurus. That's the job of the site administrator.

for one thing you are speaking to us as if we know what you are talking about i.e. what's a browser give examples [the names of browsers what does it do?] I have no idea how to clear a browser cache [what's a cache & where is it LOL]

debbie, I think clear the browser just means to delete everything at the top of the screen? I'm like you, I don't get the jargon.

LOL, sorry. We have a tendency to do that. A browser is what you use to access the internet. Examples are Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome. The link above will show you how to clear the cache for each of these.

I'll be waiting to see when I can post blogs and contests with color and my choice of font and its size. How is it some people can do all of these things and even include pictures (as I used to be able to do a couple years ago)? The toolbar I get has no options for color, fonts, pictures, etc. I know you've been working on this for weeks.

Just play around with the new blog posting interface. It is different than the previous one, but more compatible with newer browsers. It allows everything the old one does except coloring fonts. We are looking into how o add that feature.

We have a NEW tool for posting blogs because the old one was not compatible with newer browsers. The interface has changed. You can insert photos, however, coloring text is NOT possible with the NEW interface (unless you know HTML).
