“Too’s Day”
Too early, too soon, too man “ah shucks”
Too few left of last weeks dwindling bucks
Too hard, too busy, too much to do
They should call it “Duesday” cuz everything’s due
The moan of the Monday has slowly subsided
The secrets she kept now badly divided
The work now assigned, each one gets a clump
Starts pushing it over the upcoming hump
And so I sit - too tired, to weary, just too worn out
Just hoping this ain’t what its all about
I’m back in the office wearing pants, and a mask
But I think I’ll get through cuz I’ve got half a flask
I’m here at the office paying my dues
ducking and dodging those “Too’s day”, too too’s.
