**************************

My biography will be very limited for now.   Here , I can express myself in poetic form but in real life I much rather prefer to be far less forward  I am a 60 year old American citizen , born and raised in the glorious South! A heritage that I am very proud of and thank God for as it is a blessing indeed ~

Currently married to my beautiful young wife(Riza) a lovely filipina  lady and we have a fantastic 7 year old son, Justin ~

I have truly lived a very wild life as a younger man but now find myself finally very happily settled down for the duration of my life~

I decided to rest here and express myself with hopes that it may in some way help others, for I see here a very diverse  and fine gathering of poets, artists, and caring folks~

Quickly finding friends here that amaze me with such great talent~~

I invite any and all to comment on my writes and send me soup mail to discuss

whatever seems important to them ~

This is awesome, Sir Roberto, and I think my favorite of yours in this series - the back work and the poetry - this stories were such a huge part of my youth and development, and I love how you've made them pertinent again here, and your honor TO them. Really excellent work, my friend! :o)

Thank you my friend. To me poetry is the whole pie-- and not just those slices we find most favorable. Its rich and very fascinating history awes me and is a fountain of delight to explore. God bless..

I want to thank one and all that have read and commented on this my second blog in the lesser known poets series. Currently I am trying to decide which of the remaining poets on my list rates being the third one presented. Yet rest assured this small snag will be resolved soon. And time allotted to research and create another blog on that magnificent poet. Truth is, these are not so easily produced...God bless...

Thank you my friend. I am delighted that you have found this poet merits high praise and a listing in my lesser known poets series. I was greatly worried that my own poem that pays tribute to Noyes would not measure up to anywhere near the level I so dearly wanted it to. Tis very hard to write to honor great poets when one must face the reality that ones own composition may not measure up as is so greatly and sincerely intended to so honor. God bless..

You've done it again Robert, given us an insight into the works of another brilliant poet of old. And I must admit I had not heard of him. Tom

Thank you my friend. Yes, sad fact is that poetry history i not taught in our schools. Poetry as an art form is without any doubt tops in my opinion. And certainly a necessary method of expressing thought and feelings that future generations may enjoy reading and also learn from. Humanity benefits so very greatly from poetry and we poets are oft more than just people slinging some ink for fun. God bless...

Thank you my friend. True it does requite quite a bit of time to read m review , write then organize each blog in order to present as best as I can each offering. I dare not shirk in my duty in honoring each poet. The more information given the more that new poets get o see the value of past poems and past magnificent poets. As most of these gems are truly brilliant poetry.God bless..

Everyone grumbled. The sky was grey. We had nothing to do and nothing to say. We were nearing the end of a dismal day, And there seemed to be nothing beyond, THEN Daddy fell into the pond!...…. And everyone's face grew merry and bright, And Timothy danced for sheer delight. "Give me the camera, quick, oh quick! He's crawling out of the duckweed." Click!...…………... Then the gardener suddenly slapped his knee, And doubled up, shaking silently, And the ducks all quacked as if they were daft And it sounded as if the old drake laughed. O, there wasn't a thing that didn't respond WHEN Daddy fell into the pond! by A. Noyes

Your introductions to these poets are taking me to their works to find a plethora of beautiful verses. For those who think these old world poets were stuffed shirts, they should read Noyes' Daddy Fell in the Pond.

As are some of his much longer poems. Such as -The Highwayman, The Wine-Press, and The TRUMPET OF THE LAW.. Many of these old world poets were anything but stuffed shirts!

You make a wonderful and glaringly important point. Noyes wrote several hundred poems. So many truly great gifts to poetry loves and to poets that appreciate such depths, craftsmanship and poetic insights. He is most definitely worth investigating/reading!
