My Biography is Coming Soon...
Hello Souper Friends:
I figured I needed to stop by to let you all know why I have not been up here on the soup much. First, I am proud to say that I am all set to graduate college in May with an AA in Mass Communications. However, I plan on going on for a BA in Special Education at another college. I think I mentioned last year, with a post of my award, that I won first place in poetry with my poems “Dear Rosebud” and “Love’s Journey” in a state contest through my college’s literary group. Well I received more good news this year when the College of Central Florida’s literary group told me that they were publishing nine pieces of my poetry in this year’s edition of their literary publication “In the Write Mind,” so my work will be automatically submitted once again in the state competition this year. I am just absolutely humbled by the attention I have received from this group. I plan on attending the publication event for the magazine in April and reading my poem “The Rising Star,” the first piece they selected for publication. The other pieces they selected are an assortment of new and old pieces of my work, but the list of pieces they selected besides “The Rising Star” are “Never Let the Laughter End,” “Another Tomorrow,” “Remember My Love,” “Heart Arresting Beauty,” “Just A Couple Of Old Dogs,” “Evil Has Many Faces,” “A Price Too High,” and “Outward Bound” I gave them the okay to do something with two of them, so I am looking forward to see what kind of revision they make or what they are talking about. I have also been busy starting my own blog. I have put a lot of my poems up there, but also I have a lot of my other written work up there as well. Articles and things that you will not see on the soup. My blog is easy to find because it is basically my name.
