Two of my poems won first place

As many of you know, I am still attending college which is the reason why I am not up here as much as I would like to be. However, I am proud to announce several pieces of my poetry were published last year in my colleges literary magazine "In The Write Mind" and two of those pieces "Dear Rosebud" and "Love's Journey" won first place at the State of Florida's College Publication conference. The college I attend, the College Of Central Florida, also came in first in the poetry division and second overall for the entire publication and I am proud of both my accomplishment and being a part of their achievement. More of my work has already been accepted to be in next years edition of the College Of Central Florida's literary publication "In The Write Mind" as well, so I am looking forward to going to there publication event for "In The Write Mind" in the spring.

Congratulations, Kim. There are few things more rewarding than writing poetry, especially when it garners such positive response as yours. Many write for years and never enjoy such distinction. I'm planning to read of few of yours myself. Happy Holidays. Mark

Thank you I have several pieces that have already been accepted for publication in our college publication that will be in next years competition as well. On of them is my poem "The Rising Star."
