At the Mall's Corner (For my fellow Poets)

Moseying amidst jingling bells and embellished Christmas trees, I stealthily ambled on the Dubai Shopping Mall’s vast grounds. Happy Eid Al Adha signs shimmered on its embroidered walls of extravagance and exorbitance as their color glimmered. I leisurely walked amongst the 550 shops I heard were newly opened according to the Grand Cinema, Bowling Alley, Pool Corner, and the unique mall’s Fitness Center. I strode and strode and strode, my eyes riveted by none of the glamour that surrounded. I strolled searching for an empty bench to relax, yet all was taken by varying bottoms! I turned around to the far corner of the mall as my legs moved my exhausted body towards it…I gently sat down at the corner, contemplating…My orbs began their art of drawing…
I saw myself laughing at Wilfredo Derequito’s hilarious jokes as he ridiculed Joe Doria by telling him “You’re too old Joe!” The three of us walked on the vast grounds of the same mall as Sharon Weimer and Rhoda Galgiani followed discussing the sales shops were throwing! I also saw the great Tom Bell drink his coffee at a cozy coffee shop along with Sue Manson and Brian Strand, as they discussed Dubai’s nasty weather! Crystal Bourret and Jay Del Fierro talked about the publishing of the new book arranged by the generous Guild! From afar, I heard Vince Suzadail discuss politics with Charles Fuller as he spoke with zest! At the antique shop, Elaine George and Karen O’ Leary shopped for pieces of wealthy beauty as Adeleke Adeite, John Heck, Joseph Spence and Micheal Jordan all competed for a game of exciting pool!
I smiled deeply…Hurried back home to my computer…To the world of Soup!
Happy Holidays,
