April' Life

This little girl
Born to change the world
Lead by society
And its many rules against humanity

No future was written for this poor child
Yet she was determined to face life on her own
A life full of dreams it was indeed
But one can never be certain of what happens next

As she worked puzzled imposed upon
Blue skies were turning grey, and so did the sea
Simply aiming but failing, her head was spinning

At the age of nineteen life was starting
University, success, it was too much stress
She became whiny and cranky
Scaring her friends away from her journey

If you ever see her somewhere
Your eyes could not bare to see
The tragic workaholic she is today
No one sees her happy on any given day.

Oh poor April
Brown hair turned gray
Blue eyes dulled by disarray
But when will she learn that life happens today
And it's the little things that make us who we are

Beautifully written. And yes, that last line says it all, doesn't it? Welcome to PoetrySoup
