Peanut Bean

Peanut Bean
By: Angela C. Freeman
Dedicated to: My unborn grandchild
3/20/2018

My poor little grand baby, Peanut Bean
Why did you go away...what does this mean?
We all loved you, though we never met
You were sent from God and we’ll never forget
Your mother cared and loved you so
She talked to you and watched you grow
Then today you went away
We’re at such a loss and don’t know what to say
I don’t know why this had to be
I don’t understand...I cannot see
I just don’t get God’s reason for this
Too tiny to hold...too tiny to kiss
We don’t even get to bury you
Your mother is crushed...what will she do?
You’ve left us all feeling blue
Your mother tried to do everything right
But your heart was just too weak to fight
Losing you just isn’t right
You’ve left us in a world that’s black as night
This is so awful and you’re mother knew
She had dreams you’d go away
I wish I could help her and make everything ok
Nothing anyone says is going to take her pain away
We can’t console her...we can’t make it ok
We will hold you in our hearts and never let you go
All of us loved you...we just want you to know
Watch over all of us, little Peanut Bean
Your life was so short...it feels like a dream
