what am i
your once in awhile love
your beautiful smile
when a smile feels appropriate
am i the nice "good feeling day"
when everything is in order and you believe for a brief moment... in dreams
or am i the lack of dreams
your cons hes decision to be mainstream
your failure to believe
your failure to conceive of something larger than yourself
its a pretty pitiful place to rome
in and out of the daydreaming state of love
wondering your next move
wondering.... constantly wondering what your mind holds within
be it amazing though full of sin
i begin to turn in circles
spinning and writhing
striving to complete a sane thought
totally alluding me when my thoughts are on you
burning my blue into a darkness i cannot contain
one which remains only to haunt the cold nights
long days
and the dreary memories
of you
leaving me helpless
leaving me confused
leaving me....enlightened
and finally
bitterly
free
to become "myself again"
although polluted by your poison
i ingest no more
and can become
whole
painfully moving forward
painfully moving
but moving none the less
farther into myself
and discovering
the beauty within me and surrounding
the beauty ,blinded by your presence
but now....i see
