Still Trying

I can't stop crying.
My happiness dying.
But I keep trying.
Keep on fighting.
Fighting the heart brake.
Fighting the pain.
Although I know without you it will never be the same.
Still I keep trying.
My hopes dying.
But I'm not buying.
That I'll be okay.
I won't be okay.
Because you're gonen
That's why I'm sitting here.
Writing this song.
Still I keep trying.
High spirits dying.
Oh look I'm crying.
What a surprise.
Tears streaming from my eyes.
No more love to give.
Still I keep trying.
Even tho.
Inside I'm dying.
Oh look a cut on my wrist.
This is my new form of bliss.
I can't stop this.
But it's okay.
Maybe I'll finally go away.
I begged you to stay.
But you went.
Now my hearts forever bent.
Soul has a dent.
Not at all content.
Oh look another cut.
All because you called me a slut.
Still I keep trying.
Hoping I'm dying.
Cause to defy depression.
I have to die.
So tonight I say goodbye.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Have a blessed New Year.
