I Fell Asleep Last Night

I fell asleep last night knowing there was a possibility that I wouldn’t wake up. 
That I wouldn’t wake up to your smile; to your happiness.
I fell asleep last night knowing that I hurt you; knowing that I hurt me too.
I fell asleep, not because I wanted to; Not because I was tired..
I was more scared to, because I didn’t want to sleep knowing there was a possibility of losing you; losing you because of me..
But, I fell asleep in hopes that when & If I woke up..
I’d get to spend another day loving you; showing you how amazing you are..
& that alone is enough to be thankful; To be thankful for another tomorrow..
Another chance to make you smile; another chance to prove id never hurt you..
If you let me; If you want me.
