Stones

She sits in a stony ruin,
Unable to leave.
Thinking is just a burden now.
Is he all there is?

The sun burns brilliant,
But the stones are cold.
She wants to shiver,
But she can only shudder.

Nothing grows in these remains.
Not truth.
Not beauty.
Not hope.

Certainly not love.
Only ashy stones,
Scarred by time
And blackened by fire.

She shudders again.
The sunshine is audible,
But all she feels is cold.
Is he all there is?

She sits in a stony ruin,
Unable to leave.
And he will be all there is
Until the rocks cry out.

Oh, this isn't about me, I'm in a happy relationship! It's just a poem, it's based on feelings I've had before, but I know that he's not all there is :)

No, "he is not all there is" no matter how it flows, or the lies you hear, there are better ones out there, Katie. You decide as to what you want and don't settle! You're worth more than this little one. Happy New Year! Much love, audrey
