Hell

"I look around me,
Covered in blood and pus I am.
Dead bodies lie flat on their faces,
of people all from different races.
My heart beats frantically in my chest,
As I walk through the depths of Hell; unpure and unblessed.
Darkness surrounds me like a cold, freezing blanket,
any living soul will be thankless.
I know now my position in this forsaken land,
I'm drowning in misery as fast as a quicksand."

Ramadan Is Here

"Alhumdulillah, Ramadan is here!

Its the month I eagerly await, incessantly praying to Allah in hope and fear.

Giving up food and water is only for his sake, just fast for a few hours, and then you can savour your delicious homemade cake.

Allah opens the gates of Paradise, and closes the gates of Hell,
And he chains the devils up, so that you can be free from their despicable impels.

Fast with complete faith and hope, my friends,
Before you regret your holy Journey as Ramadan ends.

Its a peaceful month, filled with abundant blessings and love,
At every second of your life, Allah is watching you from above.

Pray and pray, and repent and repent,
Don’t you want the hereafter? The taste of delectable fruits and beautiful Paradise scent?

Ask forgiveness from Allah, the Most High, the Most Great,
Do not think that He won’t hear you, He is the All-Powerful, the Changer of Fates.
Open your fasts with sweet, sweet dates,
But don’t forget to help your mother wash the dirty spoons, kettles and plates.

Try to complete the Quran, try to get closer to your Creator,
His punishment is great, but his Mercy Greater."

Grandma's Kitchen

Yellow cabinets, like sunflowers are planted on top of floral walls,
the sink is clean; the lemon scent still lingering in the corners,
the cooker whistles, and the sound echoes excitedly, bringing smiles to the waiters, making Grandma herself hurry to the stove.
The smell of meat overpowers everything; as every second passes by, our mouths salivate childishly.
Awaiting Grandma's voice, soft and sweet, calling us to dinner; a lovely family reunion.
She mixes the curry, places the rice on the table, sets everything in place; a perfectionist.
Round table, for everyone to join, none to miss. Laughters and stories pass around like a bowl of nachos and chips.
Clinks and clanks of utensils and glasses, Grandma's face is lighted up, with love and happiness.
Dirty dishes, finger licking fingers, stained stove, but in the end, for Grandma, it was all worth while; her everyday life story told in short.

Drug

"I inhale you,
and drown in my own sorrows.

Yet, you somehow make me happy,
and help me live another tomorrow.

I'm devoted to you,
you give my colorless life a rainbow hue.

You hurt me, you kill me,
you think that someday I would flee,

but you're wrong,
because you're all that I need to create the perfect song.

I need you by my side,
I swear, to your rules, I will abide.

You can take away my breath if you want,
you can come in my dreams to haunt,

and you can live with me like an unbearable flu,
but let me remind you,

that no matter what,
I'll always love you."

Cold Water

“My hands and feet turn blue,
my body turns numb.
In the cold water I lay,
my thoughts and memories succumb--
into a black hole,
I was the prey.
I can’t seem to laugh,
or cry,
your letter is floating on the cold water—
a simple goodbye.
You loved me,
then you hurt me,
you left me,
you shattered me.
Why then did you slip this ring on my finger?
Why then did you help me cook the dishes in the kitchen?
Your soft kisses sting my cheeks,
my soul has been dead for days, maybe weeks.
I’m alive, I’m still alive,
waiting for you to ring the doorbell,
and come to me with your feeble smile.
I don’t need an apology,
just a warm hug,
I want to get out of this paralysis,
and be your one and only protagonist.”

Bee

"Your blood is in my hands,
I see your body lying face down at my feet.
I wipe my cheek and remove my wedding band,
I throw it in the trash can, with the knife I used to slit your throat.
You left me alone when I was broken,
soaked in my own sorrow, my words were left unspoken.
You left me in misery,
while you enjoyed your life in luxury.
You used me like I was just a rag doll,
but you never expected me, did you? that I would be the reason behind your disastrous fall?
Killing you animated me,
perhaps, if I get the chance, I would kill you again, my sweet pea.
With you gone out of my life, I feel very much alive,
and like a bee, I journey the world and make my own hive.
For so long, you had imprisoned me,
but now, no one can touch me...I am set free."

Regret

I regret not looking directly in your eyes
and telling you
how much I love you.

I regret not holding your hands
when we were at the bus stop
standing under the rain
under the same umbrella.

I regret not saying 'I do'
when you were right in front of me;
smiling and waiting for me
to become your wife.

I regret it all.

I really do.

Paradise

"I hope for a hereafter, where there would be four rivers,
one of clear water, one of milk, one of honey and one of wine.

a place where there would be high thrones and tall people;
where green silk clothes would be worn, with gold bracelets and crown full of rubies.

Peace will be lingering in the air,
evil will be jealous, its heart blaring as bright as the sun rays.

the sand underneath the feet would be of gems, from emeralds, to sapphire, to topaz and diamonds.
and there would be boys like pearls walking around, their beauty too bashful to perceive, unimaginative to fathom.

a life I want,
a life I dream of.

where every sound is like a soft piano key,
where every heart beat is tranquility.

There would be nothing but what you wish for,
a place filled with possibilites, infinities and everlasting certainties.

Smiles will be on each and every face,
a joyous moment that will never perish.

a place that will never end.

an irresistible beginning that will last forever.

Oh, how I would give anything to stain myself with a piece of heaven,
Oh, I would rather get martyred than die in vain.

everyone asks if there is a life other than this, other than today.
I will say Yes, there is.

A Nirvana that will be a thousand times better than your lousy Saturdays.

You wont be sad,
you wont be hurt,
you'll only feel glad,
you'll be overflowing with mirth."

Neverland

"In the neverland, I step in,
surrounded by beauty and a melody from an alluring violin.

I'm filled with utter joy as I pass through the tress of life,
There, at a distance near a lake, I saw a woman and knew at once that she would be my wife.

We cared, we fought, we loved,
No sooner were we blessed with a beloved.

The neverland became our paradise,
but the serpent appeared and whispered to us thrice.

A whisper that was sinful and deadly,
our life turned into a tragic medley.

Our paradise was taken away from us,
My wife made quite a fuss,

thus, did we end up walking alone in the desert,
with no water, no food but a heart that hurt.

We hoped and hoped to meet a better place,
but it was that one mistake that had us disgraced.

We found no one to help us in our tiring journey,
Our life had become a monochromatic picture; dark and blurry."

The Taste of Black

Bitter to the tongue; like overbrewed coffee or ninety percent dark chocolate,
a heavy lump down my throat, I crave for sweet water.
Not too hard to describe, but not too easy to understand.
Like blood, just not sweet. The metallic taste everyone knows, but no one can bear.
An addiction, an overdose,
never tiring, always novel to the tasters.
It burns, it hurts,
the pain doesn’t die.
Like drinking alchohol,
but deadlier and raw.
I don’t want it,
I need it.
I don’t need it,
but I crave it.
Don’t give it to me,
It’s foul,
Give it to me,
I might not live anymore.

Poison for some,
Elixir for some.
Sinful for some,
Paradise for the rest.
