Ethan Sherman Poem
Being a student is rough
the courses are really tough
but when I hit May
a test each day?
You know what? I've had enough!

Ethan Sherman Poem
Each afternoon, around wintertime
sat a sickly old man, with a very bad spine
Poor and withered, without any money
none of his days were ever sunny
He fought in two wars and lost his leg
now he's alone and has to beg
Living each day was a struggle to beat
being alive was considered a feat
Nobody stopped to donate or talk
but then again, he was unable to walk
But this changed on one special day
during spring on the 3rd, of a unique May
A little boy, no more than ten
came down the street chasing a hen
He saw the man and sat down with him
for once in his life someone would listen
They talked and talked about many things
in a fantasy world, where they were the kings
After a while they bid farewell
back to the world that seemed like Hell
However, this little boy was amazing
truly worth, limitless praising
He came back, day after day
hours and hours is what he would stay
This brought the man nearly to tears;
being alone for all those years
He didn't need cash, shelter, or food
just someone to lighten his mood
And this little boy was his answer
but then the man developed lung cancer
Death was near, to come and to reap
to bring the man down into the deep
But he no longer had any stress
embracing it fully, he would egress
One final meeting before he would pass
the breeze blew and it shook the grass
"Thank you" were his final words
and then he was gone, up with the birds.

Ethan Sherman Poem
I am a snake, I slither around
I slither quite often; fast on the ground
Sometimes I hide inside of a mound
but the land isn't the only place that I can be found
for if you look up and look at me,
hiding in a great big tree,
shiny green eyes is what you will see
and a big wide smile, with fangs of glee!
However, there's no need for fright
For I won't attack you when there's light
But if you really want to test my might
I can show you a true snakebite!
Some of us rattle, some of us hiss
being a snake feels like bliss.
So be smart, be safe, and be aware
To not be careful, will end in a scare!

Ethan Sherman Poem
John loved to eat food
it always brightened his mood
but then one time
he ate a lime
and it left him feeling quite shrewd!

Ethan Sherman Poem
There are two brown spiders on the wall,
with very long legs standing tall.
One is greatly larger than the other
Perhaps it could be the mother?
But if you look down, near the ground
two more spiders can be found.
Thick and thin legs are what can be seen,
how weird it would be if they were green!
Invisible webs that shine in the light
but don't get close, or else they'll bite!
The darkness of night leaves them cloaked,
they are calm and still, until provoked.
Without a sound and like a ghost,
stationed as a guard at their post.
The spider is a magnificent creature,
this poem is their awesome block-buster feature!

Ethan Sherman Poem
Things in life, do not come easy
effort and passion; not being sleazy
Sure, you can choose the easy way out,
but that's not what life is really about
You must slave and work with your soul
and when complete, then you'll feel whole.
Be humble, be gracious, be caring,
be admirable, be eloquent, and be daring.
But in the end, what I've been taught:
"That what you do, is not for naught."

Ethan Sherman Poem
There once was a woman titled Clair
who bought a spectacular timeshare
she got caught in their net
put five years into debt
and complained it simply wasn't fair.
