Not For Naught

Things in life, do not come easy
effort and passion; not being sleazy

Sure, you can choose the easy way out,
but that's not what life is really about

You must slave and work with your soul
and when complete, then you'll feel whole.

Be humble, be gracious, be caring,
be admirable, be eloquent, and be daring.

But in the end, what I've been taught:
"That what you do, is not for naught."

Hi Ethan, I love the message you've woven through this wonderfully educational piece of poetry. Your last line sums it up perfectly, nicely done.

Thanks for the feedback! I've always seen people looking for the easy way out of things; but I've come to find that the easy way out isn't necessarily the right way. I believe that all success comes from hard work.
