Rabbit Hole

Went looking for a Rabbit Hole,
Ended up on my same old street,
With nowhere to go,
And only mirrors to meet.
I close my eyes, and try to hide.
But these mirrors see what's inside.
It's black. It's white. It's dark, but it's light.
I'm not the brown hair, the golden eyes,
I'm not these scars and chubby thighs.
I move through walls without the doors,
Float along, above the floors.
Someday this heart will stop, and I will go.
There won't be anything that I won't know.
I grin and think of when my soul
Goes down that final
Rabbit Hole.

This Side

In my bed I got to lay
And hope to dream the day away
This waking side is not for me
For I don't see like others see

Percival

There be no church, or even a steeple,
No Sunday rush nor well dressed people
The Hawk leads the hymn, the sparrows will sing
It's a different mass you see, out here, The land,
is the Homily
Its none of the pomp, but all of the joys
And in the mist I hear the voice,
He whispers in wind, what I already knew,
You are these mountains,
and these mountains are you.
