To You, Brother

Jungle ape, they called you
            in those days
Vindication you handed them
               these days
with your gorilla-like acts
guerilla they call it now
              I think
very homonymic that is
don't you think

Have you a mould in that brain?
Or why pull the trigger
against a brother
for what is this hullabaloo? I wonder
when you ravage this home
you call your own
and deny us insight
to her gentle face
by the mist you make
over this calm lake.

The justice you seek, you ruin
when you lance that shell.
A mess you now make
of this tidy abode.

To you, brother

What if you lay those arms down
and meet me at the hall, down
at the table we shall fashion
a prosperous new fashion.

Under Siege

I goggled my powered screen
And saw venom founded smiling faces
I watched tongues dance in deceit
And there chameleon lips
Bounced and marched to this ignominy.

They propagate their obvious robbery
With unconvincing window-dress
And celebrates their heinousness
By camoflagging this mist-free fraud
Jaw agape,on my tongue a sweet liquid descend.

What is this they've given life?
That enveloped the day in darkness
Mere anarchy, cut loose eventually
By these sheep skinned wolves
We afore-elected in ignorance.
To hold on; they turn their bloody self.

Alas! our screams reach not a drum
But their whispers fill all ears.
The decision we strenuously made
With the lines adorning our thumbs
Has been quashed by these gangsters,
And to their mercy our future lies.

Lisabi, Oronna, where lies your eyes
Obanta et al, why remain so muted
And watch them deface
Your hard founded land.

Beware of the Beautiful Beast

Have you seen her?
sorry, have you heard of her?
The ravaging beautiful beast
That plagues the world with zest.

Have you heard of her?
The treacherous blood bosom
That million times multiply
In the blood like fish in the ocean.

Have you heard of her?
The fun exploiting destroyer
That mostly come into being
Through activation of carnal desires.

Have you heard of her?
Or have you seen her?
That dare devil disaster
That claims in multiples of the tsunami.

Have you seen the sarpent?
Hidding beneath that irresistible apple of Eve
Which you'll joyfully consume
So she'll have you happily consumed.

Have you heard
Of the ruins she's got the world?
The brilliant Adams she's made unrighteous
Vis-a-vis many condemned to hereafter
Via her infested palatable apples.

Though the laboratory
And the razor sharp
Spreads her venom also
Her apple seeking souls near cover the space.

If you have not the eyes or ears
To acknowledge her presence
You might be creating
A safe shore for her docking.

A Rising Smile

I turned around
On the march towards tomorrow
And intensely screen yester-days
With the lens of critical thought
That provoke tears with frowns and a rising smile

Deeds I'll differently do
If time can be backwheeled
And offer a chance of recreation,
Filled those gone days
Of poor uncalculated judgements

Pain and forlon it often advance
In its undodgeable remembrance
For all it mostly yielded
As time had progressed
Seems a pack of depressive backwardness

Failure begets unappreciated credits
But here emerges a smiling face
In a teething and crippled toddler
That now maturely walks
With peer frightening confidence

Won't be blinded to new fault
I'll appraise the gains of yesterday's failure
That induced today's smile
And paint tomorrow
On a brightly admirable canvas.

I'M Off

I'm off to the market
I'm off to display my wares
On this canvas of lines
I'll use my pen to stand my tent
Will you come and patronize me

I'm off to the theatre
to purely re-construct
their great ability in the art
their drama I've put to stanza
you may come and watch me play you.
