If I Was Your Man

If I was your man and you my woman
I will be a caring, loyal and faithful man
And will love you with all my heart, mind and body
I will shower your life with joy and happiness
And like the extinct goldfinch egg I will treat you

Because your life is more valuable than anything
I will build you a mansion surrounded by a defensive wall
And hire hundreds men to guard the queen of my heart
Like a confessed man, I will protect you with my life
And nothing will do you any harm in my presence

And if it will make you more happy
I will humbly kneel down and ask you to marry me
And invite all our friends to witness us tie the knot
On the altar, I will not even hesitate to say I do
And nothing, even death will do us apart

I will give you three good-natured and admirable sons
Name them after the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah and David
And together as a family we will build our own world
A world were no darkness fall, were only us matters
And like the bright moon in the sky, we will outshine the rest

If one day I could not evade the bad day of my life
The day were I have to choose between you or death
It will be the day I will die
And wait for our paths to cross again in the next life
Where we will be together again, this time for eternity

Now that we are just two different strangers
That met in a cafe at the corner of the street
All of this is just a dream, but if you could read my mind
I know you will wish the same...
If I was your man and you my woman

Dora David

I thought I was dying
But my mind was lying
So I must stop worrying
And I must stop crying

I must start jumping with glory
Because tomorrow they will all be sorry
They will all be packed in a lorry
And it will end like a fairy tale story

They will all be far than the forestry
And happily I will celebrate the victory
Very soon everything will be history
And this just a haunted piece of poetry

Dear Dad

I wish heaven had a telephone
Or a free hour for visitors
Where we can talk to our deceased again
Then maybe I will be relieved
And my broken heart will be at ease

I don't know how it felt when you were around
Because I was just an innocent, mindless infant
When death confiscated you away from us
But I can tell it from mom's piteous eyes
That you were a loving and a caring man

Mom really miss you very much
With tearful eyes, she always talk about you
Sincere, ambitious and vibrant you were
She sometimes even call me by your name
Apparently I badly remind her of you

Growing up fatherless in this fierce world
Is like a sheep in the forest on a stormy day
Lost, bitter and hopeless
Like the sky without the sun, stars and the moons
Dark, incomplete and insecure

Why did you go so soon dad?
Why were you not strong to hold on?
If not for mom, why did you not live longer?
Longer for me, Esther or the unborn baby Johanna
Why? Why? Why? All this questions I am asking

Nobody can play the role you abandoned
You were supposed to give us fatherly love
All you did is exploited our right to have a father
And left the family with a whopping gap
Which nobody else, but only you can fill

But I know it is all God's will
And that is why I pray every night
For your soul to find peace with God
I pray that one day we will reunite again
And be together as a family in heaven

A Dream

I have this dream every night
Recurrent, always at midnight
That everything will be alright
Indicative, your future is bright

Sweat, you will soon celebrate
As nothing come from a silver plate
And in life it is never too late
Coz destiny is an inevitable fate

Dream big, the sky is the limit
Hard work pays off, never quit
Like a firefly, you need no moonlit
To shine on you, you're already lit

Your journey is full of deception
Cramped of fake realers combination
As many can't wait for your detention
Silently, hating on your reputation

You plummeted forward in my dream
Slowly but surely, like a winter stream
Unmistakably, it runs in your bloodstream
How I wish, I were you in my dream

Lust

It was an early winter morning
Hastily, she dashed to school
When a lost driver stopped her
To the coffee shop he wanted
Helpful, she entered the man's car
With eyes full of lust, he drove off

In the shop, he ordered two cups
She was late, she kept insisting
But he was just too convincing
She fell for his miseries trap
Duped, she exchanged her number
And promised to text after class

Time passes by very fast
George was kind and handsome
He was caring and supportive
All this she learned in days
And from strangers to friends
Friends to best friends they went

To his apartment she started going
Full of everything she yearned for
They blissfully laughed like lovers
Beautifully staring in each other’s eyes
Then he popped the I love you question
Which left her on mute and in confusion

Not all that glitters is gold
That she knew, but soon forgot
As she was now deep in mad love
Which ended the night it was done
The night, he broke her virginity
And vanished into the darkness

She soon started feeling sick
Hospitalized, and tested positive
Heart full of agony and regrets
She whimpered herself to sleep
Singing the national women hymn
Men are the same, unfaithful dogs

If You Only Knew

If you only knew how I feel
For you and only you dear girl

You wouldn't treat me this way
Obnoxious if not being much sisterly
Unjust, letting me dwell in unrequited love

One shot, is all you have to give me and
Novelly I will tame your precious heart
Like a confessed man wholly protect it,
Yielding devotedly to seize all its seeks

Kniphofia uvaria: My love burns for you
Now and forever I know it will endure
Eternally thirsting to nourish and cherish you
Woman of my life, PJohn hunger you to be
