Jennifer Harvey Poem
I have two great dads – yes I do
Most people don’t – yes that’s true
One dad raised me since I was three
The other – we didn’t have a chance – him and me
One dad I look just like
The other taught me to ride a bike
One dad showed me love and affection
From the other I didn’t get much attention
One dad grew with me from toys to boys
All I’ve ever wanted was to give both my dads joy
Dad #2 was there for the first heartache
Dad #1 just seemed to give me a headache
One dad knows my biggest fear is being alone
The other dad would always let me come back home
Both dads are the greatest men alive
But for ones love I feel I have to strive
At one time both my dads loved my mother
And it’s funny how neither one ever has a bad word to say about the other
No matter what circumstances I go through
I know I have not one dad to confide in but two
At times it’s hard to know what to do
When only one knows the “real” you
But slowly I’m showing my other dad too
Even though things growing up were a little sad
I am very thankful that I had more than one dad
Both my dads have my undying love
I know they were sent from heaven above
I’m so grateful I never had to choose
I would be the one who would lose

Jennifer Harvey Poem
So how was your day?
She would sometimes say.
Dinners almost ready
What would you like to drink?
What she really thinks...
Please just kiss me.
Your bath is ready with bubbles and all.
She says as she walks down the hall.
Is there anything else, anything at all?
She wants to say...
Please just kiss me.
There you are in bed lying in the dark
One day you think we could take a walk in the park?
You turn to her and say...
Yes, but first will you please, just kiss me!

Jennifer Harvey Poem
Let's hold hands and walk through the park
Tonight be romantic and dance in the dark
Just the two of us.
Let's go out and be wild and crazy
Tomorrow we can watch TV and just be lazy
Just the two of us.
Let's get married and have wedding bands
In a few years how about a house and some land
Just the two of us.
We had our time and been a little wild
It's been several years; let's have a child
Just the two of us.
There are times when people are cold
But together we've made it; so together lets grow old
Just the two of us.

Jennifer Harvey Poem
Little Davion I love you so
A life without you I don't want to know
When you look at me with those big blue eyes
My heart melts with love that goes way up to the sky
I'm so thankful that God blessed me with you in my life
I'll do what I have to so you don't have worry or strife
From day one it's been you I adore
I can't imagine loving anyone more
I love you, My Sunshine!

Jennifer Harvey Poem
Saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do
It should make it easier with me not even knowing you
I thought of names for you - both girl & boy
Just the thought of you brought me joy
Thinking about your life made me smile
For you I would walk a thousand miles
I can just picture your little webbed toes and feet
Our life with you would be such a treat
I bought small hands and feet to make cookies telling your dad
I didn't get to use them and that makes me sad
I wanted everyone to see my little blessing
Now that I can't share you it's so depressing
I know which day it was that you said goodbye
It hurts so bad I just sit and cry
I blame myself each and every day
I can't imagine why God would take you away
I know your life wasn't meant to be
I didn't understand at first, but now I see
Maybe we weren't ready your Dad and I
I know one day we'll see you and never again have to say goodbye

Jennifer Harvey Poem
Before I met you, my heart was blocked.
Hurt by past relationships, the key was put up - locked.
You are an angel that was sent from heaven above.
I was guided back to life through your sweet love.
You showed me trust and true devotion.
I have never felt such wonderful emotions.
I'm now learning to enjoy life to the fullest.
And understanding that I am truly blessed.
Now I have the happiness that I crave.
You've given me so much, even the courage to be brave.
Thank you for opening my eyes to a brand new world!
You are the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for!

Jennifer Harvey Poem
I woke up this morning with a strange feeling inside
Could this be real – this is something I may have to hide
I’ve waited for this day for so very long
I just hope through all of this we can be strong
How do I tell him, he has to know
It has to be soon before I start to show
I can’t wait to tell him, I’m so ready for the day
I’m a little nervous about what he will say
I want it to be perfect – the words I use
I want to serve him dinner with a pair of baby shoes
I’m so excited what do I do
It will be part of us – me and you
So many emotions – happy, but scared
We are not ready – but can you even be prepared
I can just hear them – those little feet
Watching them grow will be a treat
We can do this – there should be no fear
Just to see the little face and hold it near
The love I have is already so great
Having this wonderful gift is our fate

Jennifer Harvey Poem
I awoke this morning with a smile upon my face
It's something that no one can erase
Down This bumpy path I have trod
All my burdens I give to God
Without my testimony you don't know each test
But when you see me you know that I am blessed
Through my trials & tribulations
My God NEVER takes a vacation
He is with me in each journey from here to there
My God is REAL & He's everywhere
He brings me through each testing time
He taught me to deal with life through words of rhyme
The devil continues to ask me to come join his line
But My God steps in and says
"This child is MINE!"

Jennifer Harvey Poem
My Lecy, sweet little girl
All praise to God for bringing you into my world
Your hugs are always so big and tight
I wish I could kiss your precious face before you go to bed every night
I think of you each and every day
When we get to visit it's never long enough I wish you could stay
I was there to hear your very first cry
Any my love for you will live eternally, never to die
I love you, Angel!

Jennifer Harvey Poem
Your eyes are like fire, they burn deep in my soul.
I want you so badly, sometimes I want to lose control.
While we spend time together my feelings I try to hide.
Sometimes for a moment I think you see exactly what’s inside.
Oh how I wish that I could tell you just how you make me feel.
But words can’t explain that’s how I know this is real.
