Hallelujah

Hallelujah hold me in the light of God deliver me from evil if I am broken can I be made whole if I am wrong have I been wronged if I am lost can I be found protect me from danger save me by your command deliver me O God deliverance for me I am human frailty and flawed from the dust I was made from the dust I will return listen to my prayer and keep me safe resurrect me from the ashes hide me in thy bosom look not away from my despair bridge a gap between me and you love me always Hallelujah

The Little Boy Inside the Man

The little boy that cries inside the man, dry your eyes, why has trouble come for me?
Be still my soul deep from within, where terror reigns supreme.
The night seems long and bitter cold,
as day turns to night and my heart of stone.
Joy and laughter once close friends on the playgrounds of years gone by,
where the little boy is now a man, and laughter exchanged for a cry.
How did my life turn down this path and my child like dreams vanish?
All hope has run it's course and left me all alone.
I've cried and cried some more, my tears are all dried up, I'm a boy within a man, and a man without a home.
Who will cry for the little boy, the little boy inside the man?
I've been left here on this street to once again die alone.
Each day that passes like a turned page in a fairy tale.
This life that I live is real and has become a living jail.
O gentle breeze blow, restore my youth to me, awaken the little boy, the one with all his dreams.
A helping hand called goodness and mercy, angels all around, taking me to a place called heaven, at last homeward bound.
I fell asleep on this street, but never really alone, I have a friend in Jesus, and always had a home.

My Beloved Son

Whisper to me gentle breeze, tragic loss, on my knees, I could not save you, my beloved son, I'm left with void, forever undone, I searched and searched, in the dark, no light of world, could find that spark, you were beneath the surface, in a watery grave, a monster took my son today, rest in peace, little one, God carried you home, my beloved son.

The Walking Dead

The walking dead with emotionless stare, eyes a window to the soul, traumatized from the war that rages, leaving open wounds of glow.

Face down in the mire, entrenched in the realm of understanding, yet they have ears but do not hear, and eyes but cannot see, dulled senses of polluted soul leaves a lasting plea.

Around and around you go marching to the beat, in single file, see them march, marching with their feet, as one follows another and another follows one, the mass of people marching, marches to the beat.

The walking dead that's walking on life's broken trail of tears, grace and hope once companions, lost with no more years, falling off a ledge into a tunnel of fear, where all the kings that have ever lived could not breathe life into you again.

The absence of light on the darkest of night, removed from all that is sane, the twinkle is gone from your eyes as your dreams vanished without a trace.

Desolation and despair are all that remains, a prisoner to the very end, around and around you go still marching to the beat.

The reflection you see in the dimly lit light is a reflection of me.

I Know I Can

More than a bird, more than a plane, I am superman, I know I can today.

I can be free, I can fly into the heavens where only eagles dare to soar,
I can stretch forth my wings and leave life's troubles at the door.

I can run faster than a cheetah on the vast open prairies,
or glide as smooth as a stingray in ocean waves of many.

I can sing like a mockingbird, songs never the same,
or be as gentle as a dove and leave no room for pain.

I can be as strong as a elephant in the face of danger,
or as a mother bear protector of the week and innocent.

I am more than a bird, more than a plane, I am superman, I know I can today.

Heaven

I can see a new dawn on the horizon,
I can feel angels at my side,
last glance to the land of the living.

Can you hear the children singing,
laughter in the air,
a place of many colors,
the king of hearts is calling.

Helping hands reached for me beyond the velvet veil,
as living waters flowed through me,
my body was whole again.

Can you hear the bells ringing,
can you see a smile upon my face,
can you see me dancing to the rhythm of every race.

Let the cool spring morning cast a glancing stare,
stay awhile in the moment,
turning back the pages of your life.

Run your race with vigor,
allowing love to touch your heart,
as memories dance in your mind,
leaving nothing undone,
or anything behind.

When blood and water hit the ground,
walls we could not move came crashing down,
no obstacle to great,
no heaven can't wait,
now finish your race.

Flower

A flower fading here today and gone tomorrow.
The breath of life created by God struggling to live and not die.
Tossed around from within, in constant motion.
A flowers petal delicate and true a ray of sunshine bringing out such beauty for you.
The perfect gardener tending to its every need.
Strong and firm, yet tender, always giving the flower sustenance.
As the flower basks in the glory of life itself, enjoying the journey and holding nothing back.
Living in the moment for which it was created, pleasing the creator, the giver of this life.
As the sun fades, the flower begins to close in for the night not knowing the future.
The night seems long and cold, time moves by ever so slowly.
The wind picks up and try's to hurl the fragile flower from its resting place.
The flower uses all its strength to stand its ground, when all at once the wind begins to die down, finding the flower still around.
As the night comes to an end and the sun rises once again, the flower so delicate and true, opens up and gives forth its beauty for you.
The flower happy for another day, taking in everything in its view, not knowing what tomorrow holds, but thankful for today.

The Day the Earth Stood Still

The earth stood still,
shadows of evil reveal,
man's plight from Eden's garden,
caused the earth to stand still.

Man's heart waxed cold,
on days of old,
guilty with shame,
man's heart to blame.

Blackened sun,
moon blood red,
the earth shook with fury,
her creator now dead.

The death of Christ,
for onlookers too see,
what nailed the Christ to the rugged tree?
It was the love of Jesus Christ for you and for me.

In the Year of '73

Book Of Job Chapter 39 Verse 19-21,24 19. Do you give the horse its strength or clothe its neck with a flowing mane? 20. Do you make it leap like a locust, striking terror with its proud snorting? 21. It paws fiercely, rejoicing in its strength, and charges into the fray. 24. In frenzied excitement it eats up the ground; it cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds. Love Someone Today

I perceive
in my mind
items undone and left to do
In a hurry
I search for more time
In this fast paced world I live
faster and faster
I push myself
from one item to the next
while waiting in line
my mind still racing
slows down when I observe
a chance encounter with a lovely lady
soft spoken and a heart of gold
the conversation begins light
then turns heavy
she opened up her heart of pain
her husband of many years just passed
she reminisced about the life they shared
her eyes became heavy with tears
I embraced her in her time of sorrow
I hope I showed her love
love someone today
