I Know I Can
More than a bird, more than a plane, I am superman, I know I can today.
I can be free, I can fly into the heavens where only eagles dare to soar,
I can stretch forth my wings and leave life's troubles at the door.
I can run faster than a cheetah on the vast open prairies,
or glide as smooth as a stingray in ocean waves of many.
I can sing like a mockingbird, songs never the same,
or be as gentle as a dove and leave no room for pain.
I can be as strong as a elephant in the face of danger,
or as a mother bear protector of the week and innocent.
I am more than a bird, more than a plane, I am superman, I know I can today.
