Where Are You Little Sister

Where are you little sister?
Where is your smile,
Where is your exuberant laugh,
Why do you not send me those cards of love anymore?

Where are you little sister?
Is that you I hear in the warm breezes,
Is that you I feel when a kind word warms my heart,
Are you here when my feet feel the beat and dance?

Where are you little sister?
I see you in my dreams,
I hear your voice in a strangers throat, singing,
Do you know how beautiful you sounded?

Dear sister,
I know that you are here,
your energy pervades my life like a fiber of silk,
pulling in and growing.

Thank you for the signs,
they are what keeps me going on the tough days,
and the people you have brought to my path,
so dear, so precious and so full of love.

Be well, dear sister.
You had a tough go,
your mind left you no choice.
In the empty spot there are flowers now...dear one lets see them grow!

Men Make Me Smile

I've lived some tough days,
arms burning with anxiety, body aching with grief.
I've fought to hang on,
clawing for the edge of the ice, scraping, pulling.

So don't tell me not to dance,
don't tell me not to sing,
don't tell me not to pull close whomever I might choose.

I only get one chance so let me do it all,
the love, the lust, the I don't give a f.

This place is full of people,
all thinking they're alone,
we really aren't, I feel your joy, your love, your pain, your lust.

Let's spend the night together,
let's dance, let's sing, whatever.
Hold me close, I hear your air, the same that I once breathed.
Your face, your name, I want it all but only for this day.

She Left Us Aching

She left us aching.

A beautiful soul with a smile that melted us,
loving and kind, a friend to the stranger.

Then she left us aching.

A relentless spirit with a fiery heart,
fighting for equality, a friend to the hopeless.

But she left us aching.

Dark lustrous hair and a bonnie complexion,
curvaceous and bold, not a friend to herself.

And she left us aching.

So please know you are loved, by myself and so many,
abide, we will hold you, dear friend do not leave us.

Do not leave us aching.

Touch Me

Strutting on the stage,
heels that could kill a snake,
snug fabric up to there,
let me tease you till you break.

Swaying hips,
a pole that fits between so well,
lights and sounds flash and pulse,
kiss me, touch me, I won't tell.

Sliding hands on silk,
removing still more that separates,
sweat and soap as lovers,
I am yours tonight.

Don'T Drive Them Insane

Love your children,
tell them you care,
don't scare them with a hateful stare.

Love your children,
don't make them ashamed,
to be your child, to have your last name.

Love your children,
be proud of their work,
tell them you love them, don't be a jerk.

Love your children,
let their cries always be heard,
if your reply is a mean one, breathe not a word.

Love your children,
don't drive them insane,
telling them they are useless, have not a brain.

Love your children,
then when you are old,
you will have comfort and a warm hand to hold.

Now

Now that she's gone,
let me really live,
feel the joy in your eyes,
the desire in your center.

Now that she's gone,
I need to see the outside,
no more mere survival,
I will drink it all in.

Now that she's gone,
I sense you so strongly,
your power, your beauty,
the wonder of your being.

Now that she's gone,
I will not waste my life,
ever exploring, experiencing,
dancing till the music stops.

Shake

You don't know what you do to me,
how the sight of you stops sound,
my stomach, I am picking up from the floor as you pass.

You don't know how I think of you,
unbuttoning your shirt with my eyes,
oh god, press that against me.

You don't even know my name,
though I have a name for you,
saying it to myself when my need is consuming.

You won't share my bed, my name, my breath.
Not in this world, but yet in another,
we are having moments that shake us to the core.

Drink Me

It’s like you knew.
Knew I was hurting,
knew I was lonely,
Lonely for that look.
Lonely for that feeling.

Maybe you feel it too.

Do I give you that look?
Do I give you that feeling?
Well, go ahead and drink me.
Drink me up!
