Indestined

so many times beneath the stars
our lives are lived for fate and scars
infancy seems to abound
from everywhere it screams its sound
too loud to hear the voices true
without a sound, it comes to you
it strikes with force, a fist, a roar!
so strong a warmth you can't ignore
the vision marred by human sense
for now the journey must commence
the trials begin with fervor rise
a gaze glares straight within the eyes
so hard to suffer ends defeat
victories are ever sweet
the sky preludes the next advance
all surety, no happenstance
a place of firm and solid lore
where the light and night I wore
as symbols of forever more
no longer will I toil and chore

Fate's Occasion

Singular and thus finite
begins the spiral's spinning plight
of eminent foretold collision
love commences in a vision

Unbeknownst before the time
an effigy that burns the mind
now filters clear, emotions raw,
the present image striking awe

Eyes and hair on perfect face
with pouted mouth, the heart doth race
into the thoughts, how to proceed?
laggardly? ...with godly speed?

Clumsily one gathers poise
do thine drums work? there is no noise
at the point, this cosmic stead
a vocal soul must forge ahead

Words abashed but striking through
perceived by them, return to you
is that a chorus sounding there?
without belief just simper stare

Lives become one single strand
as two entangle by the hand
joy begins to warmly swell
for fate's occasion, two hearts fell

Quaternity

so long the days of singing rays
have come to meet their sullen end
twixt nights of joy with hidden ploy
a sweetly tone, they do offend

O gasp! the serpent true must strike
O gasp! the lustful raging psych
whose cares are lost forever long
roaring out, O hear my song!

now mute...peace...whist...still
ideas soon drain, decisions fill
a mind at pace with thoughts that spill
float soundlessly thy solstice chill

the misty seep, foreboding reap
emotions run amok like thieves
for darkly cast, a favored past
along is lain misguided leaves

Cerulean Loss

her alabaster lips did drown
the sea with rage that fateful dawn.
how beautiful with skin so pale,
her alabaster lips. did drown
the roar of waves and shredded sail.
Poseidon's wrath on human pawn.
her alabaster lips did drown.
the sea with rage that fateful dawn...

A Couple's Stroll

above an autumn's moonlit sky
'twas there in flight, a hurtled star
then visions land as from afar
what wants 'came focused on mind's eye
was it shining gold that called?
a better man it's left enthralled
fame and power? the skill to jest?
so many dreams, thy brain was mauled
but out from selfish musings sung
a thought so single, bright, and true!
on crisp night air I felt it hung
it melted over, then I knew
for next to me my lover strode
i wished for us a sweet abode

A Requiem

as my life dances cross a veil not seen i lie down my worth on breath that fades with hope now gone to solve errs long past notes symphonically fill the pages of days observed through shadowed glass muted childhood musings seem to glow charge hard! at adolescence's cusp the hours fill with hoards of fury comes now the strength in freedom feelings mount in shades of red she encompasses my life with deep hues of joy at love's genesis growing in multiples and steady the pace combining in wisdom that passes through youth, grinning youth, flourishes the front for the amber arrives and peace ensues gentle is the dusk as days now slow will i be of whom they speak? the dark is upon as my love went before peace has settled, what shall await? troubled no more, willfully i go

Love's Drowning

over waves of the sounds from the glass of the sea
comes a shreak that dispersed on a night that was cursed
and flys cold with a chill; it lands squarely on me
my eyes did turn quick and wonder about
crystal pale blue was the scenes only hue
hand to my head, filled now with doubt
but was there distress on that morn i awoke?
with the sands at my feet; on an air crisp with sleet
as the autumn sun's light had not yet full broke
the question that's posed in these ramblings you'll see
for she lay down beside during moonlight's high tide
why that night my love left, n'er a word spoke to me?

Mirage

for lost in the day and the sounds of the sun
with hands in the air and feelings undone
as life in the sands and the pouring of fear
of love and of death, it fails with a cheer

Into the In Between

Blurs of light as ripples of images fade
Further now I try
With only feelings as a guide
Pulling hard with emotions that seem to bend
I hear the sound.
Rushing, fleeting, falling
Waves pull upon my fear
Where have my eyes gone?
It is only now forever...
