The Map to our Soul

Depression drains your body of the,
Energy that is needed to carry on.
Yet the positivity of you brings,
About the melody of my soul,
To the level of understanding.
Trying to make you feel inspired by the,
Good deeds I have received can,
Only be perceived as Karma.
This philosophy brings about,
Humanity and the good deeds of others,
That will guide us in the future.
The future holds that love and passion,
Within the heart brings about an,
Emotional connection.
This connection leads us to understand,
That the heart is truly a map to our Soul.
This allows ourselves to fully trust,
Someone with our mind, body, and soul,
Will always be the keeper of our heart.

Cupid's Arrow

One glance cupid's arrow,
Pierces my heart taking my breath away,
Blinded by a beautiful light,
When I open my eyes,
You are standing in front of me,
Looking deep in your eyes I get lost,
I feel you inside my soul,
Remembering you in my dreams.
Your hand reaches up and
 caresses my cheek,
I feel your touch,
I realize this is no dream.
I look into your eyes and ,
Realize I am home.

The Treasure Map of our Family

Families, Legacies and History,
Things are known,
Rumors told,
And secrets hidden.
Yet hundreds of years pass in time.
The legend passes thru,
The lips and ears of the descendants.
The stories that are passed down,
From generation to generation,
Are given new light when,
One piece of a document is found.
All of the rumors,
All of the stories,
And all of the secrets are found to be true.
One ancestor who is known to be a robber,
A hero, a father and a brother.
He holds all the gold and buries it,
With a treasure map like none other.
Mother Nature holds all the secrets.
We call her Mother Earth.
She knows his secrets.
She knows who he is but not his name.
But in our family we just call him Jesse.

He is my cousin and it's a true story.

The Sunset

The Sunset..........
The sun dips into the shore,
as if the earth swallows up the sun,
I am standing on the beach,
thinking of you, seeing you,
wanting you and needing you,
As the waves hit the beach,
and the tide rolls in,
the night becomes cooler,
My skin and body become chilled
and then it comes over me,
the loneliness, the emptiness, the emotions
and I remember all too well the day
you died in my arms and left me.
I feel the tears fall from my eyes,
as the sun disappears into the earth,
realizing you will never feel my love again.
I feel your presence
I feel as if you are behind me
I hear your voice-and i feel your love
My whole body is warm again
I feel your arms engulf my body and soul,
I smile as i see the heavens open up above
glowing with your picture in me.
I hear the waves slapping against the beach
you talking to me and communicating with my soul.
I live day to day knowing that
you are always with me.
When i am cold, you will warm me,
when i feel unloved, you will be there to hold me,
when i feel despair you are like the sun when it rises,
showing to all that hope is alive and
it begins with a new day and a new beginning..........

The Vulnerable Heart

My Heart is the strongest muscle in my body,
but emotionally and mentally,
it is the weakest and most vulnerable
of all the muscles.
It makes me feel lonely
and yet in love at the same time.
The heart fools me into thinking
you were actually in love with me,
yet in reality it was never meant to be.
Love is fickle and cruel at times,
yet the heart is vulnerable.
So what can you do?
Well my heart has been trampled on,
stepped on, stabbed, and girls have just about killed me.
I’ve been denied Love,
I’ve been let down easy,
I’ve been told “ Oh It’s not you, “
and yet my heart the strongest muscle in my body,
is still beating, is still there,
and I am still alive but
my heart is still vulnerable.

My Wish

Your young heart has been through so much,
It has been crushed, trampled and thrown away
in the winds of the Oklahoma skies,
I can't see through your eyes
so I can't see where you've been,
I can't hear what your heart is trying to say,
I only know that your heart has been broken
and all that remains is an empty shell,
I have tried to be there time and time again,
I've held you,
I've cried with you,
I''ve listened to you,
I've consoled you,
I wish I could take all the pain away,
so that u could feel again,
I want my very best friend
to come back to me,
I want you to be happy again
I want to see you laugh again
I want to hear your heart beat again
I want the sun to come out again like it did when you smiled.
This is my Wish for you.

The Perfect Sunset

Traveling to the one place,
I have dreams about.
Wanting to sit on the beach putting my,
Toes in the sand feeling,
The sun against my face.
Watching the sunset as it,
Dips in the ocean.
Carrying a bottle of the finest wine,
Fruit and cheeses, so romantic watching,
The waves as they come ashore,
Talking to your soul.
Listening to the ocean.
Speaking with nature as she welcomes,
Me into her world.
Smiling feeling as though this passion,
We will never experience again,
In our lifetimes.
The sunset hides into the edge of the,
The ocean disappearing as the day,
Becomes night.
The beautiful rainbow colors as they,
Paint the sky as I look into the ocean,
Saying goodbye to my friends,
Who are jumping up and waving,
So long until the next time.

The Eyes of your Soul

As I look into your eyes,
I see into your soul,
the vital soul of your heart.
It tells me exactly how you feel,
all the emotions, the feelings, and the love
I feel pouring out of your soul,
and the conduit is your eyes.
You will never be able to hide
those emotions and feelings I see.
The way you look at me
The way you feel
The way you see me
The way I see into your soul and through your eyes
and into your heart.

My Independence

My Freedom,
My Independence.
The start of my new life,
going back home.

Leaving the one person I have feared for years,
away from the yelling, the outbursts and the abuse.
I see the prison doors open
I now can breath
I slowly open my eyes,
thru the haze and fog
everything starts to clear up.

I look up and see
the most magnificent
beautiful tree of knowledge
standing in front of me is an angel,
looking into his eyes,
I feel all my fears and doubts wash away
as his wings engulf my body,
I relax and fall into him as he holds me,
he kisses my forehead and tells me
that everything will be ok,
I look into his eyes and whisper DAD.

I am finally at home.

The Oklahoma Tornado

I look up into the sky I see it,
Getting darker and darker,
In those Oklahoma skies.
That feeling never goes away of,
The past memories of destruction,
Pain and loss of life.
It was getting closer and closer,
The clouds had dropped out of the sky.
I could see it the funnel cloud,
Laughing at me.
I could feel it making my heart beat,
Faster and faster and worse,
I could hear it.
That train sound that scorches thru,
Your veins knowing the pure evil,
And the fear it brings with it.
So I run, hide and cover because,
I know in my heart it is after me.
I got away so many times,
It infuriates him and so,
He searches for me.
