The Sunset
The Sunset..........
The sun dips into the shore,
as if the earth swallows up the sun,
I am standing on the beach,
thinking of you, seeing you,
wanting you and needing you,
As the waves hit the beach,
and the tide rolls in,
the night becomes cooler,
My skin and body become chilled
and then it comes over me,
the loneliness, the emptiness, the emotions
and I remember all too well the day
you died in my arms and left me.
I feel the tears fall from my eyes,
as the sun disappears into the earth,
realizing you will never feel my love again.
I feel your presence
I feel as if you are behind me
I hear your voice-and i feel your love
My whole body is warm again
I feel your arms engulf my body and soul,
I smile as i see the heavens open up above
glowing with your picture in me.
I hear the waves slapping against the beach
you talking to me and communicating with my soul.
I live day to day knowing that
you are always with me.
When i am cold, you will warm me,
when i feel unloved, you will be there to hold me,
when i feel despair you are like the sun when it rises,
showing to all that hope is alive and
it begins with a new day and a new beginning..........
