Dreams
Your eyes haunt me,
Slicing into my heart,
As I still remember your smile,
And the long summer nights,
So long ago when our love
was new and remembering,
As if the heavens opened up,
and the angels sang.
I wake up from my dream
and you are gone.
I lose you all over again.
