Alcohol

ENTERING A PUB,
ORDERING A PINT.
I SIT DOWN TO THINK,
WHY DO I DRINK.
ONE BY ONE COME UP THE THINGS,
THAT CAUSES ME TO DRINK.
LOSS OF LOVE,
STARTED IT OFF.
AND IT BECAME A HABIT,
THAT HAS PUT ITS BIND UPON ME.
UNTIL INTOXICATION BECAME COMPANION,
IN MY TIMES OF NEED.
NOW THAT I AM SOBER,
I STILL THINK,
WHY DO I NEED TO DRINK.
I SUDDENLY REALIZE,
THAT INTOXICATION WAS A SHIELD BEHIND WHICH,
I HID,
IN TIMES OF NEED.
AS THE TRUTH SETTLES IN MY MIND,
I SET DOWN THE GLASS AND LEAVE THE PUB.
MAKING A VOW NOT TO HIDE
BEHIND THE SHIELD OF INTOXICATION AGAIN.

Brother From Another Mother

Met him in 3rd grade,
with me ever since then.
By my side in both my
Pain and Gain.
Giving company in times of need,
sharing his joys,
in return for my grief.
Fight we did over petty issues,
to strengthen our our relation a whole lot more.
Shared all secrets ,
taking the blame for one another.
Over the year our relation,
has got stronger,
Rather sacred.
to others he is my friend,
but for me he is,
"My Brother from another Mother"

My Life Partner

oh my life partner, if you are the wings then i am the flight
if you are the instrument then I am the sound of the instrument
if you are the song then I am the tone of the song
the shy eyes have been able to disclose
what the heart was too shy to communicate to yOu
You are the extreme limit of love
I am only the begining
as far as my feelings concerned the limit is the sky
or the other limit is the earth- meaning what ever the issue
All the considerations come to end on you- yu are the main focus of my life
what ever it may be
You are beautiful- prettiest of all
But I am the pride of that beauty......

Song of My Heart

Holding you close to my heart, I will sing a song
The songs tune is you
In eyes without seeing In heart without knowing
The picture that blossoms is You
Please Come
as this song’s raaga
Please Give this picture in colors
Gave love which showered from my heart to you moonlit dusk
In return making my eyes wet, where have you disappeared
Holding you close to my heart, I will sing a song
The songs tune is you
In eyes without seeing In heart without knowing
The picture that blossoms is You
When my desires flutters its wings to see you
You became a wind of love caressing me
In the words of eyes , only your face remained
In the eyes of dreams, there is only your color
Don’t disappear away, away, away
Holding you close to my heart, I will sing a song
The songs tune is you
The poems which were written to recite
became Hindolam** that blossomed in your lips
Oceans and rains gave only your voice
In thought’s shadows your breaths
Searching near, where are you now
Holding you close to my heart, I will sing a song
The songs tune is you
In eyes without seeing
In heart without knowing

Dear Stranger

You awoke the pain in my heart
Before I was a poet, now you've made me into a lover
Your intoxicating glances are making poetry
This poem isn't mine; this poem is yours
I simply wrote that which you caused me to write.
For all the shadows here, when and where was everything lost?
The company of friends rose to leave; loneliness moved in.
What happened? Perhaps you dropped some curtain
And in a little while we'll be separated
How will I search for you? I'll lose the road.
You haven't even told me your name

Love-A Sinful Fruit

Love, some say is a sinful fruit,
for others its a blissful truth.

Addictive it is way mor than marijuana and cocaine,
but lose it, it will give you way more pain.

Those who have lost it, has felt that pain,
their life is never gonna be the same again.

I am new to the feeling of love,
and i feel as peaceful as a dove.

Greats say "love is not times fool",
but to not enjoy the bliss of love time is a fool.

Love, some say is a sinful fruit,
for others its still is a blissful truth.

Dentist Visit

He comes with a soothing smile,
and makes ours a toothless one.
He is the nightmare of
every child in town.
He pulls, tugs, twists and
finally snatch our tooth from us.
He makes us go through hell,
and then collects his bill.
At the door he says "Please do visit again" .
flashing his soothing smile again.

Break Up

ONCE IN LOVE ALWAYS IN LOVE,
BREAK UP & YOU KNOW THE PAIN OF LOVE.
FEEL HER IN EVERY BREATH,IN EVERY HEARTBEAT.
YET CANT MUSTER THE STRENGTH TO APPROACH HER.
LIFE TURNS MISERABLE,LIFE GETS WRETCHED.
THINGS REMIND YOU OF THE LOVELY DAYS OF THE PAST.
THE GUTS WRENCH SEEING HER WITH SOMEONE ELSE.
SHE HAS MOVED ON,LEAVING ME BEHIND LIKE BROKEN TOY.
NO LONGER NEEDED,NO LONGER USEFUL.
I SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE
IN THE ATTIC OF MY LIFE.

I Recall

I recall the days of past,
sitting with friends long lost.
Those innocent moments,
of which i often lament.
Sitting alone on a full moon night,
savoring the beautiful sight.
I recall those youthful days.
When we would spend our time in a nearby bay.
Running about in the sandy shores.
Exploring the sandy contours.
One day responsibilities fell on my shoulders,
a lot of questions with very few answers.
two brothers and one sister,
Had I to foster.
No longer had I time to play,
as there were bills to pay.
nurtured my siblings,
Into responsible human beings.
Then they left
making my life bereft,
of any companion.
Taking away all the fun.
Craving for mate(s)
I would hang out till late.
In the bay
of my youthful days.
But i guess it was my fate,
to spend my life without any mate(s).
