The Final Letter

You know I still love you but there’s things we got to talk about,
All the times we’ shared yet I got to get this anger out,
Every time I turned my back you to gave me trouble,
Every moment spent together you guys where a couple,
That time he got you pregnant and than it disappeared,
I felt so down and bad but you never seemed to care,
You know I thought it was mine but you never cared to tell me,
I found out you’re a whore and with that I put it bluntly,
Now where at an impasse but that doesn’t seem to matter,
You drag my daughter through it though her heart is bruised and battered,
Now how many times do I have to scream and say it,
I wish it never happened so I could never replay it,
The pain you made me feel I hope I never encounter again,
You’re the main reason that I got hooked and went on a binge,
It took me a while to finally get all sobered up,
Now that I’m clean we can finally handle this breakup,
I will never question what all we could have had,
Because the good times don’t out weight the bad,
So with this last line I will finally end this letter,
Now knowing that we weren’t worth anything together.

Me and You

Me and you might be through,
But that don’t change my mind,
We had that special something once,
It vanished over time,
It was probably me or maybe you,
But just who here could say,
If God would grant me just one wish,
I’d go back to that day,
The day I Left or day I stayed,
I just can’t decide,
I was alone for eight long months,
Girl I almost died,
I lost you while I was there,
Or maybe up at school,
But any guy who’d let you go,
Would have to be a fool,
You cheated me as I did you,
So which one do we blame,
But I was smart and left behind,
My life and so called shame,
You can’t forgive what I done,
Nor can I forget,
You cheated me twice as much,
And this might be the end,
But now we have a center ground,
As our child is so great,
So we stay friends to the end,
For our daughters sake,

Salvation

Never can I tell you,
What I think or feel,
But I faced the devil,
And I think we struck a deal,
The deal was short and to the point,
But now I feel regret,
I wanted every thing in vain,
And this is what I get,
No riches, gold, or wealth galore,
Not even peace of mind,
Just reminders of this deal,
Is all I seem to find,
So I turned around my life,
So I can walk his road,
The pathway up to heaven,
Will lead me to the show,
Everybody can get in,
There is not a dress code,
A one way ticket to the lord,
Comes from in your soul,
It took a life to make mine,
Lessons learned untold,
Never shall I forget,
The stories the bible told,
God can make the strong man weep,
And turn water to wine,
Flood the earth or make virgins birth,
I’m glad he’s on my side,
So with him I’ll lay my head,
Never again to stray,
I’ll stay good for my lord,
until that rapture day,

Choices

Sometimes I wonder what it takes,
To get to that special place,
If only love would get me there,
I’d live life without a care,
But that isn’t how it is,
You never know what you miss,
Until it’s way to late,
But by that time you learn to hate,
You hate yourself and you hate others,
You even learn to hate your brothers,
That is why people say,
There's so much wrong with today,
People forget what it’s like,
To teach a kid to be polite,
Everyone learns lessons untold,
So the bridge of fate unfolds,
You put to use what you learned,
Now see if you win or get burned,
Choices in life you have to choose,
Sometimes you win just to lose,
But the best advice that I can give,
Is you can lose and still win,
Only you can be in control,
So just let your simple life unfold.
