Stripped

The silhouette of crooked figures
Amply lean against a wall
Speaking in a foreign language
As the foremost starts to crawl.

Out from the window
I look on the street
Robots are moving quickly
As they stare at their feet.

The planet is turning backward
Time continues on
And to think the robots walking
Moved the earth beneath their stomp.

The bookshelf is leaning
As it threatens to crush
I put my hand out to stop it
And it tells me to hush?

...What?

Confused and lost
I stumble down the stair
Finding a way out
Then stopped in dead air

The crooked figure now before me
I gaze with glistening eyes
Reaches in my chest
And clenches it's prize.

Now a moving robot
I stomp down the street
Not noticing anything
But my walking feet

Coming Back

Synopsis: The events in this poem never actually happened. I wrote this in a metaphor to
express what was going on at the time.

The stage lights up,
The curtains rise.
I raise my head,
And look in your eyes.

Sounds come through,
The music plays.
This song's for you,
You're in a daze.

The crowd is vast,
The fans are crazed.
You're leaving fast,
You looked amazed...

I keep on singing,
I don't understand.
Your ears are ringing,
I look at the band.

They're still playing,
I walk off stage,
Drop the mic,
And disengage.

I'm running for you,
And you look back,
You keep walking,
It feels like a smack.

I know you don't like it,
When i leave,
Pick up the mic,
And make you grieve.

There isn't much time,
At all anymore,
To see you be mine.
The music took o'er.

You couldn't take it,
Thats why you left.
Our anniversary,
I know I missed.

I know you planned,
And I ignored.
Now I'm banned,
From entering your door.

I finally catch up,
Tell you I'm sorry.
You give me a hug,
That night so starry.

I left the band,
We both kissed again.
I hope you understand,
I loved you more then.

Trapped In Loneliness

I'm starting to believe ther's no such thing as love,
All the memories we've shared, I'm thinking of.

What has time done to spread us apart?
I no longer feel the perfect beat of your heart.

There's nothing we can do to take it back,
The experiences we had, have faded to black.

Those days by the river, under the sun,
We tried to express love, it was only coming from one.

I never felt true love. Not even from you,
What i thought was "love", I'd come running to.

The special moments we had, I can't recreate,
No matter how hard I try, loneliness is my fate.

Ever since we broke up, It hasn't been the same,
What happened to "love"? Am I to blame?

In the end, you left. I thought it was fake.
But now I understand. Now I'm stricken with heartache.

I took a blow to the face, I'm left with a mark.
Why did you hit me, and leave me in the dark?

Why did you leave me? Why did you abandon?
Trapped in loneliness, the hole that I fell in.

Time Will Bring It Out

Whenever I'm feeling sad, depresed or down,
Your humor and happiness seem to turn it around.
Your bright smiling face always lights up the black,
I only wish i could give, even a fraction back.

You look at me that way, and I can't help but feel,
That the look you're giving me, is hopefully real.
I want you to know, but a wall is in the way,
I need to tell you something that my mouth won't let me say.

Your beautiful brown eyes, staring deeply into mine,
I'm hoping somehow, we can take away the line.
The first day we met was one of the greatest in my life,
How could i possibly forget that day without strife?

All my crushes crushed me, except for one,
And with the one that didn't crush me, I've had the most fun.
I don't know how to tell you, I don't know what to say,
The words are stuck inside my heart, trying to find their way.

We've become so very close, you and I,
I want to know you, even after I die.

Two Halves Make a Whole

We both loved someone, who ripped us in half,
A fraction of our heart, is what we have.

We've tried so many times, to fix the break,
Only to make the glass more jagged, in our wake.

We've fought so hard, to recreate,
We've put at risk, our emotional state.

We've known each other, for so long,
And probably only sometimes thought, we belong.

These two halves, we both hold,
Let's put them together, and make a whole!

I promise I'll be loyal, and you do too,
We only have one heart, if we break it, we'll be through.

Through my heart, the words found their way,
As I anticipate, what you will say.

2-9-10

On the bed,
He doesn't look fine.
Doctor said,
"He's flatline."

Ubiquitous

Vibrations in matter,
Where emotion underlies,
Particles scatter,
That are invisible to human eyes.

Harvest

A man is working,
Humming a lovely tune.
In the fields,
Late afternoon.

Breaking Free

Adrenaline pumps
As thoughts fill my mind
I'm going to do it
I'm leaving it behind.

I dash for an exit
Hoping to break free
Large ropes from the darkness
Wrap around and pull on me

They don't want me to go
As i fight to get away
I try to get out of the trap
As the force makes me sway

I can see the light
But the ropes pull me back
I struggle to get there
To get into white, and out of black.

I gnash my teeth
Tears well up in my eyes
The ropes are too strong...
I give up, and to the black my bodie flies

Please Listen/ Listen To What I'M Saying

Listen to what i'm saying, and not just what you hear
Don't jump to conclusions, and freeze me in a stare.

You think you know what's going on, but truth is you don't
So you can't tell me what i'm doing wrong, because who REALLY knows?

For all that matters, I could be seriously hurt
But if i said anything, you wouldn't understand at first.

You tell me what I'm thinking, and why I act the way I do,
Since when do you read minds? Thinking your eyes see through?

Well this isn't about what you see, or even what you hear
This is about listening to what I'm saying, but you couldn't care.

I'm telling you this now, just to be treated fair
Listen to what I'm saying, and not just what you hear.
