Gone, But Not Forgotten

Great sun, your day is drawing to a marvelous close.
The horizon seems ablaze as you slowly spill into the turning of night.
Tomorrow we shall see your return,
as you stir sleepy eyes and herald the dawn.
Your arrival brings forth the songbird's call.
Though for now, your departure delivers dreams as we wade into the ether
Knowing that you are gone, but not forgotten..

Beautiful stars, we gaze deeply into your brilliance.
The sheet of darkness dances around your perfect placements.
Wishes and wants whispered towards your travels across the silent sea.
Years and tears have you guided all towards that great shore.
As the chariot of morn arrives, for that brief moment of time
The shimmer of your shine is gone, but not forgotten...

Northern winds in your winter wear,
Whistling as you rush across the barren hills.
All have been held in slowness and slumber
You bring forth a trial of man and also the cries for the new.
As gray gives way, to the colors of tomorrow and the warmth of want.
A chapter closes for three, as your distance grows, gone but not forgotten...

For love is a treasure, one which knows no boundary.
Knows not of time, or of chains and constraints.
It is never ending...
We shall shed a thousand layers
We will hold to one another, even as this earthly realm draws apart.
Gone, but not forgotten....TAH

In the Soft Veil of the Night

The perfection of your lips, they leave me not..
I have traced them a thousand times..
With closed eyes, my empty hands have caressed the curves of your silken shore..
I have lost self within the dark pools of your haunting eyes..
Want fills the vessel of I..
Your scent, that sweet fragrance of desire, filling my mind in fever..
On tongue tip simmers your nectar, fulfilling..
Two breaths as one, our bodies the same..
Wetness and warmth, swallowing stone...
I have drowned within you..
Your soft petals covering..
Drawing forth the rising of man..
Wrapped in your hunger..
I am afloat, in the soft veil of the night....TAH

The Mist, the Fog, and the Ocean's Call

Standing before the great water's roll...
Lost within a dream of greatness...
Breathing in slow. . .
Exhales more like whispers..
The burning sun had given way to the calling of night...
The gathering of stones, cool and ancient...
Collecting the sea's sadness...
As the last flicker of light fades until the chiming of tomorrow,
I look to the night sky...
There she is found...
In the shifting shadows of the moon...
A thousand departures created the void...
Releasing the hold on today...
With outstretched arms, I fall into the mist, the fog and the ocean's call.....TAH

She Wears the Colors of Burning...

Light from the morning sun kisses the ground,
with lips that know how and where to place perfection...
On high, waves the airy dress of fall...
Ripe are the fruits that hang to heavy vine..
Trees reach out in fire and nakedness...
Gone are the green blades and sweet scents of summer and her gifts of dreaming
and desire...
They have been replaced by the earthy exhales of dry ground and powdered
promises..
The year's final chapter is being offered on the sheets of crisp air and frosty veils...
The eagle and the sparrow find flight, above and beyond,
the rolling hills that rise and fall like the crooked spine of yesterday's departure...
Today finds her open to fingers that explore and stir her aging wine...
Today, she wears the colors of burning....TAH

As I Sit In Quiet Contemplation

Do you recall the fields of flowers, that swayed and shifted their stance
as the wind swirled around them?
Do you recall the leaves that floated in such stillness upon the puddled rain?
Their orange and yellow glow contrasted against the gray cloud reflections..
Do you recall the racing heart as it's beats drummed rapidly
knowing that lips would soon be surrendered and savored..
Do you recall the night that called out?
Inviting lovers to explore under the sparkling brilliance
Melting as one as the new day sun, painted pink the sky, with it's arrival..
Do you recall the dreams that filled head and heart?
The dreams that fell from fingers, no longer held..
The dreams that chase slumber from the night..
These things I recall, as I sit in quiet contemplation...TAH

Like Parched Earth Consuming the Rains

I would happily drown within the sparkling pools of your eyes..
Your hair, damp, falling upon silken shoulder..
Our senses alive, afire..
My body craves your touch, velvet hands gripping..
The delicate curve of your breast presses against my chest..
Your mouth, hungry, inviting me to explore..
It is a feast as our lips dance,
like parched earth consuming the rains...TAH

Loss Fills the Plate Where Once, Tomorrow Reined

A great despair...
Heavy and burdensome..
Hangs like wet wool, covering the motionless night...
From a door...
Within the depths of self...
Realization springs forth...
Uncoiling, like a serpent in strike....
Time is the great equalizer of man...
It paints the picture of truth...
For we all march daily towards death and deliverance...
Loss fills the plate...
Where once,
Tomorrow reined.....TAH

The Season of Silence and Slumber Has Arrived

Stepping out into the cool kiss of a burnt orange fall morning,
I pause to admire, the dressings of the day...
Light frost, on the fading green blades of grass,
sparkles in the early sun like tiny diamonds...
It's beauty matched by the blue clarity of the blanket above...
My breath leaves me...
The warmth hits the frosty air,
and moves away from me like a slow trickling stream...
Gone now is the heavy air of summer...
The season of silence and slumber has arrived....TAH

In the Great Expanse of Tomorrow

Shimmering blues catching the light..
Like dew droplets on a chilled morn..
Clouds motionless, filling the sky..
their soft silken shuffle, reflecting upon the silent sea..
Mighty peaks rising from the pebbled shores..
Stretching their ancient bones towards the burning sun...
Scents of pine and wildflowers mixed, floating on the breeze..
Man's footprint here is just that...
A small mark...
Like an ants step on shifting sands...
The earth uncut and unmarked...
Eyes see not what surrounds, they see what is not...
Who stops their churning to witness the dawn?
to watch butterflies dance?
to stand and smile in the rain?
to truly see life and feel alive?
We are disconnected in our connection...
Lost with all roads ahead,
In the great expanse of tomorrow......TAH

Two Lost Parts Make the Golden One

The stream slid past slowly..
A gathering of ten thousand sparkling jewels
Pooled water, unaffected by the movement and motion, mirrored the mighty sky..
The image was not sharp or precise
It was softened and blurred, more a dream state...
Time rolled past like an ancient tide
Somewhere from darkened depths
Depths that delivered memories...
The reflections muted, still
Within those memories was born an understanding, a knowledge...
For as the night sky needs the moon, and the day the sun...
Two lost parts, make the golden one....TAH
