The Meek

My poem "The meek/humble"

                 THE MEEK
Oh, praise be to the meek and mild,
Whose calm spirit humbly compiled,
A life lived with grace and care,
Deserving of admiration and prayer.

They stand tall without a boast,
Content to be seen as the host,
Of all the peaceful and pure,
A soothing light that forever endures.

Their patience is a welcome sight,
For they choose to embrace what is right,
Guided by that still small voice,
They always make the selfless choice.

The meek are ones who shall inherit,
A place in heaven just like merit,
May we learn from their gentle ways,
And follow in humble steps all our days.

For when we stand with hearts so kind,
The world becomes a better mind,
A place where love and hope take root,
And we can all live,
we can all flourish,
we can all be astute.

African Child

"African child"
African child, so young and bold,
On June 16, your story was told.
You took to the streets with pride and might,
To fight for freedom, for what is right.

You faced fear and danger, yet you stood tall, Demanding a future, fair and for all.
Your voice rang out, clear and strong,
As you marched bravely, all day long.

But the world saw your pain and plight,
Your struggle to learn, to read and write.
And they refused to let you fall,
For they knew, you deserved it all.

Today, young child, you have a hope,
A future bright, with endless scope.
No more to be silenced, no more to be still,
But to rise up, and learn, and be fulfilled.

My Trusted Serenade

Beneath the stars, I strum my guitar
And sing a serenade of love that goes far
My voice a soothing balm for her soul
Her heart rejoices, her spirit takes control

Whispering words sent from above
Speak of her beauty that's so much more than enough
In her presence, my heart feels alive
My love for her will surely survive

The serenade of the heart's a divine song
A symphony of love that's forever strong
For those who believe in the power of love
Its joy and light will spread, like a dove

Let this serenade guide us on our journey
In this vast world, where love can be blurry
May our love always shine like the stars
And guide us like a beacon from afar

So let this powerful serenade play
A music that will guide our everyday
As we cherish the love that will last forever
Our hearts entwined, we'll leave never.

MIDNIGHT MELANCHOLY

POEM TITLE: MIDNIGHT MELANCHOLY

In the stillness of the night, I find solace,
As darkness descends, a melancholy embrace.
The moon, a lonely sentinel in the sky,
Casting its pale light, as time slips by.

A symphony of silence, whispers in the air, Midnight's melancholy, a burden hard to bear.
The stars, like tears, twinkle in the abyss, Reflecting the sorrow, the world cannot dismiss.

The clock ticks on, its rhythm a mournful song, Echoing regrets, the moments that have gone wrong.
Shadows dance, in the corners of my mind, Unraveling secrets, memories left behind.

Midnight's melancholy, a mirror to my soul, Revealing the truths, that I cannot control.
The weight of existence, heavy on my chest,
As I ponder the purpose, the meaning of this quest.

The night unfolds, revealing life's bitter truths, Unveiling the pain, the regrets, the uncouth.
Yet amidst the sadness, a glimmer of hope,
A chance to heal, to learn, to cope.

The night, a canvas, painted with shades of gray,
Whispering tales of love, loss, and dismay.
In its depths, I find solace, a bittersweet release,
A reminder that life's beauty lies in its cease.

So, as midnight's melancholy wraps around my soul,
I embrace the sadness, let it take its toll.
For in the depths of darkness, a spark will ignite,
Guiding me towards dawn, where hope takes flight.

JOY OF MOTHERHOOD

POEM
          JOY OF MOTHERHOOD
The joy of motherhood, a wondrous thing,
African mothers know the love it brings.
Through pain and struggle, they give birth anew,
Their strength and courage, a pure and true view.

With smiles that shine like the morning sun,
They tenderly care for each little one.
Their hearts, overflowing with boundless love,
A precious gift from the heavens above.

When their children stumble, they pick them up,
Encouraging them to reach for the top.
With wisdom and guidance, they gently lead,
African mothers, providing all they need.

From village to city, they diligently toil,
Their perseverance, a reflection of royalty.
Their beauty and grace, an inspiring sight,
African mothers, shining so bright.

So let us celebrate these queens of the land,
For their endless love and guiding hand.
Their hearts, pure; their souls, strong and true,
African mothers, we give thanks to you.

Mother's Love

There is a special kind of love,
A gift from the heavens above;
A profound bond forever binding,
A love that's always reminding.

Of how my presence brings smiles to your face,
And how my love fills up so much space.
 An overwhelming love of mama,
A love so pure, there's no drama.

And when I find myself in tears,
My mother's love stands without fears. She takes me in her arms so tight,
And hugs away all of my fright.

"Baby don't you cry," she softly sings,
And to my heart, her love she brings . With lullabies, she sings me to sleep, And in her arms, I can safely keep.

Mama sings for me, with a heart full of care,
Her love unbounded, ever so rare.
You are everything me, she says, What I'd give to remove all your dismay.

A love that fills every part of me,
A love that's forever, don't you see?
You are forever in my heart,
And in my love, you'll never be apart.
