MIDNIGHT MELANCHOLY

POEM TITLE: MIDNIGHT MELANCHOLY In the stillness of the night, I find solace, As darkness descends, a melancholy embrace. The moon, a lonely sentinel in the sky, Casting its pale light, as time slips by. A symphony of silence, whispers in the air, Midnight's melancholy, a burden hard to bear. The stars, like tears, twinkle in the abyss, Reflecting the sorrow, the world cannot dismiss. The clock ticks on, its rhythm a mournful song, Echoing regrets, the moments that have gone wrong. Shadows dance, in the corners of my mind, Unraveling secrets, memories left behind. Midnight's melancholy, a mirror to my soul, Revealing the truths, that I cannot control. The weight of existence, heavy on my chest, As I ponder the purpose, the meaning of this quest. The night unfolds, revealing life's bitter truths, Unveiling the pain, the regrets, the uncouth. Yet amidst the sadness, a glimmer of hope, A chance to heal, to learn, to cope. The night, a canvas, painted with shades of gray, Whispering tales of love, loss, and dismay. In its depths, I find solace, a bittersweet release, A reminder that life's beauty lies in its cease. So, as midnight's melancholy wraps around my soul, I embrace the sadness, let it take its toll. For in the depths of darkness, a spark will ignite, Guiding me towards dawn, where hope takes flight. Written By: *Abdulai Kpaka Mansaray.
