Randy Freie Poem
Soft velvet tunes and silk delights
Neath summer moons and starlit nights
Romance perchance when daylight falls
That first sweet kiss as twilight calls
Two lovers on an endless sea
No other place they'd rather be
Enraptured now until the dawn
But still that kiss will linger on

Randy Freie Poem
The stage of life is crowded,
With a dark and sullen cast.
And though it seems those fading dreams,
Are just figments of the past.
Your manner is straight forward,
You're neither actor or a clown.
You fight the fight with all your might,
But still they put you down.
With clenched teeth and furrowed brow,
You walk bravely straight ahead.
Through stifled air, you won't despair,
Over all the roads you've bled.
You're standing firm and resolute,
Cause your spirit is intact.
Will time abate or will you wait,
To play out the final act.
It's hard to pick your poison,
When the dramas always change.
It's never clear, the more you fear,
Your dreams are out of range.
When at last the curtain falls,
On your temperance or your rage.
With peace of mind, in time you'll find,
That all the world's a stage.

Randy Freie Poem
Driven by the Mistral wind
My soul vanquished by the sea
On a course that has no end
Still, where I was meant to be
Mesmerized by ocean tides
As if Heaven here on Earth
Lonely though, my heart abides
I sail further from my birth
Weathered by the salty brine
Now my life's adrift and free
Cradled on this boat of mine
Mistral Winds still carry me

Randy Freie Poem
Where stands a man free of sin
Who walks in shards of light
What quest for truth shall begin
Beneath the stars at night
What evil lurks and first began
Where darkened souls are torn
Deep within the heart of man
From whence all sin is born

Randy Freie Poem
Now as you turn the next page
It don't get better with age
Or so it's been told
But you still hope to find
All the dreams left behind
On the road
One thing that life has taught you
All those things that you ought to
Can't be bought or sold
And though you keep on trying
All your dreams lay there dying
On the road
Beneath the heat of the day
Your feet are turning to clay
And your heart's growing cold
Those old memories seem stronger
Yet the days just grow longer
On the road
When the lines in the mirror
On your face growing clearer
Are looking cracked and old
You strive to stay on track
But you can't turn the clock back
On the road

Randy Freie Poem
She rides across the rainbow
On a winged and painted horse
Just and kind with peace of mind
And only love to steer her course
A bright Angel here on Earth
But she carries shield and sword
Calmly weighed and unafraid
Of the fate she's heading toward
Riding to the gates of Hell
To catch evil by surprise
She'll battle there without a care
Dismissing her own demise
Staring long into the abyss
Knowing well what she will find
But still she'll fight with all her might
For the sake of all mankind
She pretends to be no Goddess
Only a Queen without a crown
Draws her sword on the demon hoard
And one by one she puts them down
Lightning flashes from her eyes
Her heart beats loud as thunder
A look of grace upon her face
As we all watch in wonder

Randy Freie Poem
The piano has stopped playing
And there's no more words worth saying
With no more lyrics in my head
Because all the music is dead
My heart beats still without a sound
An empty space where nothing's found
My soul is growing dark inside
All's been lost since the day you died
A breath of life and then it's gone
I find no peace from dusk to dawn
No joy, no hope, no love in sight
No light of day, just endless night

Randy Freie Poem
No prayers for the dead
Let's sing a sad song instead
Then wipe the tears shed

Randy Freie Poem
The wind can be your friend
The wind can be your foe
The Summer wind will end
The Winter wind will blow
The wind is warm in Spring
The wind is brisk in Fall
The gentle wind will sing
The lonesome wind will call
The wind in time you'll find
The wind is foe or friend
The question's on your mind
The answer's on the wind

Randy Freie Poem
Born in the back of a Buick,
The same place I was conceived.
My parents didn't have much,
But in love they really believed.
They drove all over the country,
In the Regal of my birth.
Whenever they got the chance,
They gave it all it was worth.
Parked in a vacant lot,
Or on the side of the road.
At every single rest stop,
Made love in their humble abode.
On top of the hood at night,
And under an overpass.
Sometimes they'd even do it,
While they were pumping gas.
In the middle of the day,
Or beneath a starlit sky.
They'd even do it driving,
As other cars passed them by.
Once in a traffic jam,
I want to make this clear.
They had some time to kill,
It's the reason why I'm here.
