Blueberry Skies

Her silhouette is draped in soft moonlight

While an unseen sorrow cloaks her eyes

With traces of a light lavender mist

Hidden under dark blueberry skies

She's oblivious to the lightning's dance

Deaf to the sound of distant thunder

As this cold blueberry sky bears witness

To another heart torn asunder

so pretty, so beautiful. i like the way you intertwine imagery with much too tangible emotion. feels as if the words were woven in blueberry love. if you meant to express heartbreak, my heart breaks for you reading these words, Randy. i hope you find the love you deserve.

Thank you Hiba, I appreciate your kind words. But my heart isn't broken. Not for over forty years at least. I'm in my sixties now and am a happily single male. At this stage of my life I'm more concerned about keeping my heart healthy.

Dear Randy, the tragic romance of your verse is so soulfully and beautifully expressed. Wonderfully atmospheric! A poignant gem and a fav! Write on bro! Warmest wishes.. ~lil sis

Hi Susan, I was actually expressing my own past heartbreak, but I didn't want to sound like I was seeking sympathy. Again, any praise from you means so much. Thank you sis.
