Makes Me, Me

These wretched scars that mark my arms are apart of me
Every tear I shed 
Every thought, that I think upon
Every smile that  has come upon my face
Every moment that I'm alive makes me, me

Every word that's been spoken whether good or bad
Things I regret but can't take back, I can't go back
and erase my past
I can't go back and erase my scars, because that's apart of me
All of my imperfections makes me, me

Sure I can try and cover up, but still the memories stay
That's something I can't cover up
I can't lie about it because memories makes me, me

Though my past is left behind and I may dwell on things that I wish were never done
I may have encouraged those when I needed encouragement myself
Putting others before myself, my actions good or bad makes me, me

My anger that boils on the inside
My shame I tried to hide behind  
My thoughts that brings dissatisfaction to my body
left feeling alone, hurt, misunderstood
My feelings may overwhelm me, but all my feelings makes me, me

You may not know me but who I decide to show or put forth makes me, me

When I wake up and look into the mirror I see a broken, lost, soul
trapped in wanting to be free but is to afraid to leave
a place where it's been at for too long 

Decisions I made in the past good or bad 
The things I chase after
My heart's cry, the little voice that's inside 
It never lies
I avoid change, but I do understand that I'm in need
When I know I'm in need I'll suck up my pride, that's a part of me you'll barely see, but to admit it makes me, me

Black and Innocent

Please don’t shoot because of the color of my skin
If I say I can’t breath, then just let me go
We surrender under free will
But you officers still feel the need to kill
Body cams are no good
Officers circle black men who walk around wearing hoods
Followed around in stores
Chased down while jogging
Knee against Neck, Neck against pavement
All because of the color of our skin
Slavery ended years ago
But racism still stands strong today
Black and Innocent
The cry of our people I choose to say
Injustice against our people is not ok
Black is beautiful 
Inequity needs to end
Chains were broken, but there's a cry that lives within
Black and Innocent

Abc Vibes

ANYTHING but normal
I hide BEHIND my shadow
CAGED up with fear and shames
DENIED by many
EMOTIONS I have none
Lonely is my only FRIEND
Wanting to be GREAT
HAPPINESS I'm chasing, but can never catch
IDIOTIC choices made me suffer
JOY is waiting just around the corner
KINDNESS needs to catch up
LOVE is just a word
MEMORIES are meant to be shared
NEW beginnings are meant to be made
OPPISITES never mix
I'll never find PEACE in this world, be QUICK but quiet
I'll never REST
Watching the SUNSET
I TUNE out the sounds around me
UNDERSTAND me not
VICTORIES should be cherished
WINNERS never really win

Broken YOKES are no good
My mind holds wild beast that don't belong in the ZOO

Colour

Blue symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confdence, intelligence,
faith, and trust
Stongly assoiated with tranqullity
 
Blue can be the calm quit sea, hiding all those evil
wicked beast that lives down beneath
Blue can be the truth hidden in a lie
 
Red is the color of fire and blood
Associated with energy, war, danger,
strength, power, and determination, as well as 
passion, desire, and love
Red, a very emontionally intense color
 
Red can be a determind soul, longing for acceptance
willing to sacrifice everything in it's possessions
Red can be a bloodied heart, lost looking for love
in all the wrong places
 
Black is associated with power, fear, mystery,
strength, authority, elegance, formality, death,
evil, aggression, rebeilion, and sophistication
The color black, is the absense of color
 
Black can be a shadow hidding behind itself
Black can be the aggression that can't be tamed
Black can be a powerful bear, protecting her cubs
and stoping them from being in harm's way
 
White is associated with light, goodness, innocence,
purity, and verginity
White, considered to be the color of perfection
 
White can be a dove, decending from heaven
to heal those who are lost
White can be the light flashed in the darkest places
White can be as innocent as can be, but after all
white never stays clean...

I'Ll Give You the Sun

I'll give you the Sun
If you give me the Moon and the Stars
If you take the Ocean 
I call the Sky
You can have all the Creatures
that crawl beneath the earth, but
promise me the Trees
Overlook the Mountains
You can't buy the Hills, but
I'll give you all the Beast 
that soar high above
Keeping watch over all
In return I'll give you Shelter
in times of need
Protection from vicious Predators 
I'll give you the Grass
If you promise me the Soil
I'll give you the clouds
If you promise me the Rain
You are the luckiest... remember that
because if I give you the Sun
everything else falls in place
because everything revolves around 
the Sun
and I'll give you the Sun 
If you're willing to take it

I lose myself with you
the two of us. .. only 

Because we can hold each other
cry together, laugh together
lay together, enjoy each other  

Your smile is unforgettable
Your scent is heavenly 

Your eyes see through me 
like glass 
because you can do that. ..

You know me 
You understand me 

I. .. I think I'm in love. ..
but honestly I'm scared 
to let you in

People choose to be taken 
by the wind 

They leave with no trace 
but you, I'm hoping, you're different
