Black and Innocent

Please don’t shoot because of the color of my skin If I say I can’t breath, then just let me go We surrender under free will But you officers still feel the need to kill Body cams are no good Officers circle black men who walk around wearing hoods Followed around in stores Chased down while jogging Knee against Neck, Neck against pavement All because of the color of our skin Slavery ended years ago But racism still stands strong today Black and Innocent The cry of our people I choose to say Injustice against our people is not ok Black is beautiful Inequity needs to end Chains were broken, but there's a cry that lives within Black and Innocent
